Note: This OS takes places around episodes 156 and 157, more likely when Aneesh's crappy nature was brought in front of everybody. So, this is after the teensie bit of teasing session we got to see in the mess.

'Monami mujhe kuch kaam hai mai aata hu.' Karan said he was about to step forward to kiss her forehead to reassure her when he realized they were in the mess. He settled on rubbing his hand over her arm giving her a promising nod and left.

As he left the mess he was lost in his thoughts, Monami's eyes full of betrayal when Aneesh's truth came out her guilty face for not listening to his advise, her hurtful expression but she seemed to have masked all that up under her facade of pretending to be not affected by Aneesh's treachery. 

'Rani Saheba ka mood abhi bhi kharab hai, ek kaam karta hu Bhabhi ko call karke puchta hu dinner ke liye aa jaaye kya.' he thought to himself.

He retrieved his phone from his pocket and dialed Bhabhi's number.

Barkha received the call with the first 3-4 rings, her soothing voice could be heard 'Hello Karan.'

'Hello Bhabhi, kaisi hai aap? Aur Baby kaisi hai?' Karan asked.

'Mai theek hu Karan aur Baby bhi bilkul theek hai, bass dadi amma aap se naraaz hai keh rahi hai Special Agent Shera ne Special Agent Baby ko kitne dinn se report nahi karra hai.' Barkha said fondly remembering her daughter's words.

'Naraaz hai toh manana toh padega madam ko.' he said with an affectionate smile on his lips.

'Haanji devarji nahito aapka account khaali ho jaayega, par woh bhi aapki hi galti hai itna laad pyaar joh kar rakha.' Barkha said shaking her head.

'Kya bhabhi meri ek hi toh bhatijee hai ab usko laad pyaar nahi dunga toh kisse karunga?' he said his niece deserved every bit of happiness because she was the one who got little joys of happiness in his life since the time she was born.

'Haa hamesha ka same dialogue hai tumhaara. Waise aaj call kaise kiya Karan? Sab theek hai na? Tum koi mission pai jaa rahe ho kya?' she asked concern reflecting in her voice.

'Relax bhabhi mai theek hu aur koi mission nahi hai.' he said assurance reflecting in his voice. He heard a sigh of relief from the other end of the call.

'Bhabhi woh actually...darasal..' he hesitated not able to form sentences.

'Kya hua Karan itna fumble kyu ho rahe ho?' 

'Haa bhabhi, aapko yaad hai pichle baar jab aap Academy aayi thi tab aapne kaha tha Monami ko ghar dinner par laane?' Karan said in a breath, thank goodness he remembered Barkha's request and invite to Monami.

'Haa off course yaad hai Karan, mujhe laga tum bhul gaye. Tum dono aarahe ho kya?' Barkha asked excitement bubbling in her voice.

'Haa bhabhi, agar aap ko problem naa ho toh hum dono aaj shaam ko aajayenge dinner ke liye.' 

'Kaisi baat kar rahe ho Karan family ke liye kuch karne kaise problem ho sakti hai, aajau shaam ko mai tumhaari favorite biryani banati hu aur Monami ka favorite kya hai? Ek kaam karo usse puch lo aur mujhe batau.' she said excitedly.

'Bhabhi Monami ko gajar ka halwa bohot pasand hai.' He blurted out.

'Tumhe kaise patah?' 

'Woh bhabhi, jab Monami ka accident hua tha aur jab woh hospital mai thi toh..toh haa usse tab halwa khaana tha par doctor ne mana kiya tha.' he sputtered a lie quickly to cover up his folly.
