I woke up the next morning and stopped my alarm. I got ready for the day without any hesitation, and got in my car. I was driving to the Mega Pizzaplex, excited to start my job today. I don't know why, since today is going to be like any other day. Maybe I'm just in a good mood, or it's because I like my job. Or...maybe I just love hanging out with the Daycare Attendants.

Either way, I soon parked my car in the parking lot of the Pizzaplex, and entered the building. I pushed through the Superstar Daycare doors and slid down the slide like usual. I slid into the balls, and soon stood up and left the ball pit, just to make some room for Sun to dive into the ball pit.

"You're back!" Sun exclaimed. He smiled at me, though there was something that seemed...off about him. His tone of voice appeared more desperate than usual.

"Why wouldn't I come back?" I asked.

"O-Oh! Well...I don't know! Things have been weird recently."

"Weird? How so?"

"We'll talk about this later, okay? The children are coming in!"

I couldn't help but notice Sun's hand movements were more frantic and he sounded a bit more panicked than usual. It was unlike him. He's usually the happy one, and never really appeared anxious. I was curious if he was malfunctioning again, or if there's something else going on that I'm unaware of.

I step back and let the children slide down the tube slide, into the ball pit. Sun welcomed the children individually, and his frantic movements seemed to disappear slowly as the kids were coming in. Sun looked at me for a second, before turning back to the children. All of the children were playing like usual, and Sun was trying to engage with their games.

I started worrying about Sun a bit, since something seemed to bother him. Though, the kids were too oblivious to notice anything wrong, which only made me more aggravated. I tried not thinking about it, since maybe I'm just going crazy. Sun never lies to me...at least, I don't think he does.

Once an hour or two passes, Sun tells the children that it's nap time. All of the kids scrambled to the napping area, and the lights turned off. Sun transitioned into Moon and went over to the children, tucked them in, gave them Moondrops, and sang them to sleep. Once they were all asleep, he walked over to me.

"Hey...Sun and I have to tell you something, if you have time to listen," Moon tells me.

"Of course I do. What's up?"

"Promise to not freak out?"

"I don't promise anything."

Moon chuckled at my sarcasm, and took a deep breath.

"Alright. Sun and I are...going to get shut down. Decommissioned, I guess. We're also getting replaced with newer Daycare Attendants. Sun and I don't want that, and it makes us sad. We were wondering if you were willing to help us stay commissioned? I don't know if you can do anything about it, but maybe you can...please, don't put yourself in harm's way for us though. We still want you safe."

My heart skipped a beat while hearing that. They're...going to get shut down? What the hell? How can I prevent that?? Why...are they getting shut down?!

A/N:

Heyy! I tried my best with this chapter, and let's just hope they don't get shut down! That would be such a shame, wouldn't it? Maybe the reader can do something about it, could she? As always, if there's any sort of grammar and/or punctuation mistake, please tell me :)

See you in the scooping room~!
