First Day

It was the next day, and I slid down the tube slide like usual. When I was in the ball pit, I saw Lunar who was bouncing in excitement, Eclipse who was pacing back and forth, and Sun who jumped into the ball pit just now to greet me.

"Hey! Ready to start the day?" Sun asked me.

"Yep. Lunar seems excited. What about Eclipse? He's pacing back and forth."

"He's not telling me, but I think he might be nervous," Sun whispers. "He seems to fidget a bit, and pace back and forth, shaking his head from time to time. I would say he was nervous."

"I don't blame him," I chuckle. "The first day on the job is always nerve-wracking."

"Well, time to get ready!" Sun exclaimed.

"YAY!" Lunar cheered while running around in circles. Eclipse chuckled nervously and nods.

"I guess so..." Eclipse muttered.

Sun waited by the tube slide as I left the ball pit. Lunar seemed erratic and extremely excited, regardless of him being mainly a nap time animatronic, like Moon.

Once the kids started coming in, Eclipse took action with Sun, while Lunar spoke to kids from time to time, introducing himself and his main job. I was glad to see that Lunar toned down his excitement a bit, just so he doesn't scare other kids away.

Eclipse's POV...

I walked over to a kid. She seemed to be small for her age, and has blonde hair in low pigtails with dark brown eyes. She was cuddling her bunny plushie, not knowing what to do. She seemed shy, and since my programming is to help shy and sensitive hearing kids, or kids with mental disorders like autism, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar, etc., I knew walking up to this kid who seems pretty shy wouldn't do any harm. My voice is already naturally quiet too.

"Hey," I greeted her. She looks up to me and her lips curl upward a bit.

"H-Hey..." She mutters. "I've heard that...you're here for kids w-who are shy and stuff. Right?"

"Yep. And other things too, like kids with mental disorders, or kids with sensitive hearing. But yeah, shy and quiet kids fall into that line as well."

I tried to seem nonchalant and chill, even if I was nervous. I didn't want the kids to see me nervous, since that would make them nervous as well, and I didn't want that.

"What's your name?" I ask her.

"Um...it's Ella..."

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Ella. Wanna go over to the quiet area? I would love to draw or play a game with you."

Ella smiles and nods. She follows me to the quiet area, and we decide to draw. I grabbed paper, crayons, and started drawing with her.

Lunar's POV...

All of the kids seemed very interested in me, and what I do. Honestly, since I already act like a 5 year old, whenever Sun gets burnt out, I seem to always take his place. Since Sun is overwhelmed right now, I'm taking his place for the next 30 minutes. All of the kids love me! They've drawn drawings for me, and talk to me like they love what I do. It feels amazing to get this much validation.

Kids also seem to crave my attention, and want me to make them laugh, which I'm very good at. Kids are so easy to entertain. The main ones that cause me any struggle are teenagers. They make fun of my childish nature, and make my life a living heck. They purposefully make my job harder, to the point I yelled at one of them, which I deeply regret. Sun was even shocked by my change in demeanor.

But I kinda don't care if people want to be jerks...since I know my place. Other than that, the children were amazing! And soon bedtime came. Sun transitioned into Moon. Moon tucked the kids in, gave them Moondrops, then I started telling them a bedtime story, which they all seemed intrigued by.

Once the kids were in bed, I did a long sigh.

"Children are tiring," I chuckle. "But they're amazing as well!"

"Yeah. Imagine what Sun and I go through," Moon sighs. "It's a long day."

"Yeah. I can't imagine!"

I walk over to Eclipse and wave.

"How's it going with you?"

"Eh. Alright. Better than expected."

Y/N then walked over, and she smiles.

"You guys did excellent. Only 2 more hours to go, and then I'll have to clean up the place," She informs us.

"Okay!" I exclaim. "When will the kids wake up?"

"Probably in 30 minutes to an hour," Moon tells me.

"Okay!!"

I started to continue bouncing again, like I usually do.

I love how I wrote this chapter, and I hope you like it! I tried my best when I wrote this, since it's Lunar and Eclipse's first day, after all ^^
