Chapter 17 -÷- New Fashion vs Old Fashioned

You, Link and Vizru had just left Kakariko Village with a sheikah woman named Lasli sitting on the back of Link's horse since the four of you were headed to the same location. You were calmly enjoying the ride on the back of your horse as Vizru and Lasli were telling the two of you about how Vizru had helped Lasli heal her Grandmother from an onset of gloom. You smiled as the four of you began to approach Fort Hateno, the ruins of a small gatehouse that allowed others passage to Hateno Village. But as you were looking, you spotted that the gatehouse had been sieged by monsters, with wooden spikes preventing passage.

"Uh, guys? We've got a problem here!" You said as the other three looked on. "Get off the road and wait for the all clear, I'll handle them." Vizru said as he suddenly leapt off your horse and unsheathed his sword in a backflip before landing on his feet. You and Link quickly diverted your horses off of the road as Vizru began to walk towards the gatehouse, with the monsters quickly noticing him. You watched as he then held his sword skyward and the secret stone in it began to glow before three other versions of him appeared out of nowhere. They all split up as the monster forces charged towards them but were easily confused by the split themselves.

With them all being briefly confused, it was rather easy for Vizru to dispatch all of the monsters, often dodging around the swipes gracefully and soon being able to get in an attack himself. After he dealt the final blow, he then pushed some of the barricades away before the copies of him disappeared back into the sword as he placed it on his hilt. He then motioned to the three of you that it was safe to continue as he walked over and got back on your horse. "That was amazing!" Lasli said out of amazement as the horses continued the journey. After about another half hour, the four of you finally arrived at Hateno Village, a calm and serene town on the east side of Hyrule.

After leaving the horses by the front gate, the four of you walked into the town. Vizru looked around at the bustling village but was lightly confused by one thing. "Is it regular for you to create mushroom decorations to decorate your home's?" Vizru asked as he examined one of the giant mushrooms with mushroom patterns on it. "No. This is strange, even for me." You said as Link agreed. "Wait! You three haven't heard of Cece?!" Lasli jumped in front of the three of you and asked, with each of you shaking your heads to her dismay, "Cece is Hyrule's top fashion designer. She's the reason I wanted to come study fashion here in Hateno. Learning from a fashion icon like her--that's something I've dreamt for a while now."

The group of you were then interupted by a trio of shouting people in front of what you remembered as the clothing shop, all wearing mushroom themed clothes with a similar design to the mushrooms around the village. In your opinion, they looked rather silly with how puffy the outfits were as the four of you began to listen. "But we came all this way!" Said one. The girl who you always remembered as the quiet one who manned the shop spoke in a quiet tone, "As I've said multiple times now, I can't admit three customers at present." Another of the people complained, "What do you mean? We took the trouble to come here, and now you're saying we can't get in?! But I wanted to see Cece's new stuff! It's not every day a mega-famous fashion designer debuts new material."

"Yeah. Everything I heard said this was some of Cece's best work." Said the first person. The woman then clamped up as she nervously said, "I'm so, so sorry, but we only have one entry ticket remaining." It was at that moment that Link said he was going to go check out the house he and you had bought a couple years back that was on the edge of the village. Vizru asked, "Would you mind if I check out the village? I want to see what's here." Link then said he could squeeze time in for a brief tour of the place as the two walked off, leaving you and Lasli alone.

You then noticed that the three people from earlier had begun to walk off, so the two of you took the opportunity to talk to the woman. "Oh my! I'm sorry to keep you waiting." She said as she then spotted the two of you, "Are the two of you also tourists who came to see my sister's...I mean, the new line of Cece products?" Lasli then stepped forward as she said, "I actually came from Kakariko Village to study fashion from Cece." "Me and my friends just came over to check the place out, so we came with her." You then responded.
