Link's POV

LA traffic is the worst. We've been stuck on the highway for an hour, which is not really something I looked forward to after a 12 hour flight. I'm also sweating and my neck's sore.

"No, that's alright," Zelda says into her phone. "Yes," she nods. "Yes, Father." She rolls her eyes. "Yes, I know... I know, Father."

I take a sip from my water and lean my head against the car window. We didn't get picked up in a limo this time but it's still a pretty nice car with really comfy seats. Maybe I'll just nap until we get to the house.

"Will do," Zelda says with a final nod. "Okay, I will talk to you later. Bye." Then she hangs up and moans annoyed.

"Everything okay?" I ask her.

"Yes, just Father being... a father," she says, sounding a little surprised by her own words. "He told me that he had to leave for a business trip and won't be home by the time I return. I suppose he was a bit frightened that I might pack my bags and leave him in a fit of anger, but I reassured him that I am not angry. I am actually relieved that he is not home at the moment. I'm too exhausted to answer a million questions about our trip.

"Mh," I agree, nodding my head. "How long will he be gone for?"

"Monday night," she says. So right at the beginning of the semester. "He's in New York right now and offered to take the next flight home, but I told him it's okay. He also wanted me to remind you that the tuition deadline is coming up soon and that you haven't paid for it yet."

"When's the deadline?"

She instantly goes on her phone to check the due dates for me. We find out that tuition's due the night before the first day of classes, so I guess I have until the end of the weekend to get that done. Can't wait to spend all my savings on school. Maybe I should study in Europe, I heard their schools are free there.

Even though Dr. Hyrule's company gave me a super generous salary, working for 2 months hasn't exactly turned me into a millionaire. What I made over the summer plus what I had left in my bank account from being a pro-athlete is just about enough to pay for the fall semester. After that, I have 3 more semesters till I graduate...

The driver takes us to my fraternity first so I can drop off my luggage. I go up to the porch and open the door but Ravioli is leaving the house at the same time as I am about to enter it and when we bump into each other he drops his AirPod.

"I swear to god I'm invisible to people," he barks while he picks up his AirPod. "Oh, it's you," he then says, looking a little less pissed but still annoyed. "I knew it was too good to be true..."

"What?"

"You're moving back in?"

"I never moved out?" We both look at the suitcase in my hand. "I went to Japan with Zelda for the summer."

"I know," he says. "But I thought you got kicked out of the frat?"

"No?" I freaking hope not! This is where I live!

"You sure? Have you read the group chat at all?" He says and hits 'play' on Spotify as if I wasn't here.

"What do you mean?" I ask but he points at his AirPod as if he can't hear me.

I don't bother asking questions, he's not gonna help me anyways. I just push past him and enter the living room. Some guys are sitting on the couch, Teli being one of them.

"Bro! You're back!" He gets up to greet me. Some of the other guys ask how I've been but I just give them a quick nod and talk to Teli specifically because he always knows what's going on with everyone in the fraternity.
