Chapter 2:

HEAT WAVE

Everyone walked inside the plane, looking around at the rusty interior. The cracked walls, the horrible seats, it was such a sad sight.

"Singing? Really? I thought Chris was joking about that." Gwen said, referring to Chris mentioning they're gonna sing every round.

"Well, I don't mind singing!" Courtney said.

"Yeah, 'cause you like singing." Leshawna replied.

"Well I don't. Girls sing, little birdie sing," Duncan chuckled, "but Duncans don't sing."

"Think I'll get to beatbox?" Harold asked Leshawna.

"I'll beat you if you try." Duncan threatens, raising up his fist. Y/N took a step away from him.

"Why are you doing this to us!" Heather asked, annoyed.

"Singing reality shows are huge! And, the worse the singing, the higher the rating." Chris answered. "Which is why on this show there will be no vocal coaches or rehearsal or warnings!"

Everyone, including Y/N, started complaining loudly. Y/N had mixed feelings about singing. She liked it but preferred doing it alone and not in front of others. Especially on Live TV.

"Is there a lady room?" Leshawna asked.

"Just through there" Chris pointed.

"Good, 'cause I gotta make a deposit." Leshawna said as she went in the washroom, a few seconds later a yell echoed through the plane.

"There's a camera in the potty? UGH!" In an irritated tone, Leshawna said.

Of course Chris would add a camera there.

Chris began touring the first class to show them what they could win, making Y/N determined to win even more, the hot tub, delicious food, and actual seats. She heard someone giggling, Y/N turned her head to see Lindsay all blushing around Alejandro.

Isn't Lindsay with Tyler?

"Linday! I can do a handspring!" Tyler declared, attempting to impress Lindsay. He gave it a try but ended up failing miserably, falling face-first to the ground. Y/N couldn't help but frown.

"Oh my gosh! Poor..uh, I'm blanking on his name again, oh, I know! Alejandro." Lindsay said, her voice dripping with affection.

"That's my name." Alejandro corrected.

"And what a nice name, I can say it all day."

"Please do." Alejandro in an alluring tone, eliciting giggles and deeper blushes from Lindsay. Y/N couldn't help but scoff, disapproving of his action, and she wasn't the only person who didn't like it, Y/N noticed Heather rolling her eyes.

"I don't like Alejandro at all," Y/N ranted, frustration showing in her voice. "All he ever does is flirt shamelessly, without any self-respect. It's like he's trying to turn this whole competition into a dating show!" She huffed, clearly fed up.

During the playful banter between Lindsay and Alejandro, Y/N found herself growing increasingly irritated by Alejandro's persistent flirting. She wondered how Lindsay can fall for such jokes, especially when it felt so insincere.
