Tessa walked up to Kaiden's garage, humming a tune. He had given her the key about a week ago, so she figured she'd come over and use it. She unlocked the door and let's herself in, calling out the genius' name as she did. He responded from under his desk.

"Kay, why are you?.." She didn't finish her sentence as he popped back up.

"Found it! I dropped this." He showed her a small metal bolt. He sat down at the desk and started working again. Tessa smiled and walked over, placing a hand on his shoulder and kissing his cheek.

"Hi." She whispered. Kaiden's fingers faltered at his work and he blushed.

"Hello." He said politely, looking at her from the corner of his eye. She leaned over and kissed his temple. Her fingernails began combing through the hair on the back of his head. Kaiden's hands stopped working.

"I can't work when distracting me like that." He chuckled. His face was bright pink as he turned to look at her. He gently leaned forward and pecked her lips. She smiled at him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

"Well, now I really can't work." He complained as he returned the hug.

"Sorry, but I don't really care." Tessa muttered, unrepentant. He stood and gathered her into a warm hug. Tessa snuggled against his chest and tightened her arms around him. Kaiden kissed the top of her head and rubbed her shoulders gently.

"You're very clingy today, luchamohor." He murmured. "Are you alright?"

"I am now." She whispered into his neck. He began swaying back and forth, humming one of her favorite songs to sing. After a few minutes, Kaiden patted her head.

"I really do need to work on this." He stated.

"Ok." Tessa didn't move. Kaiden sighed, shaking his head fondly as he shuffled forward. One hand stayed stroking her shoulders while the other reached over to work on the small contraption. Tessa moved her head to over his heart so she wasn't in the way but kept holding him and listening to his heartbeat.

"Tell me about what you're working on?" Tessa requested as she massaged between his shoulders. Kaiden lit up, and he began to describe everything he was doing as he worked on the project.

"This is a hand mobility enhancement for Gerfer Coris. You know that hand injury he has that makes it really hard for him to do his job, blacksmithing. He can't really move his left hand. So this half goblet is going to give him mobility in the hand back. I'm using these wires here, which I'll connect to his nerves in his arm surgically. Then, those signals will be translated and go into this processing board, which will give the directions to the rest of the hand. Also..." He continued to explain for a long amount of time until he was satisfied with his work.

"Ok ok I think I'm done. Tess, turn around. I want you to see it." He asked, excited to show her another finished project. She let go of him to turn around and looked down at the glove.

"It looks great, Kay. Good job." She approved. He leaned forward and started pointing out various parts and what they did since Tessa clearly wasn't paying attention the first time. Kaiden brought his other arm forward to show a different part. His arms were on either side of her, and as he leaned forward to talk, his lips by her ear. Tessa realized he'd accidentally trapped her against the table. She smirked and turned around, facing him.

"Wow, Kay, I didn't know you were this smooth." She commented. Kaiden looked confused, but his eyes widened once he realized their position.

"Oh! Sorry Tess, I'm wasn't paying attention." He yelped and retreated immediately. Taking several steps back while blushing. "I didn't mean to corner you like that, I'm sorry. It was an accident." He continued to ramble. Tessa chuckled fondly and walked forward, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"You're so smart. And so handsome, and sweet, and nice to hug and your invention is so good and -" She placed a quick kiss on his lips. "You're ridiculously adorable."

Kaiden gave a sheepish smile from the praise. He rested his hands at her waist tentatively. She cupped his head with one hand but gave him the option to lean in. Kaiden did so and kissed her.
