Y/N's POV - Friday, December 22nd - ''We Are Family'' (Sister Sledge), ''I Have Nothing'' (Whitney Houston), ''Bailamos'' (Enrique Iglesias) and 'Sarà Perchè Ti Amo'' (Ricchi e Poveri)

I had finally returned to Monaco after seven long months. I arrived yesterday and, after a restful night's sleep, according to Charles, I was currently getting ready to join the entire gang at the club. And by "gang," I mean my brothers, their girlfriends, Lando, Hamilton, Carlos, and even freaking Shakira. Despite my reluctance to go out, especially after what happened last month, the fact that Carlos would be there already made me feel better. As soon as Charles informed me of tonight's plans, I quickly texted Carlos to let him know I was coming, ensuring he was aware that he had to pretend not to know me when I arrived.

With my preparations complete, I took one last look in the mirror. I had chosen a pair of elegant black pants, a glittery short sleeve teal top, and black high heel sandals. I went downstairs to wait for my brothers. Charles, Arthur, their girlfriends, and I would be traveling together in the car. Lorenzo had already left to pick up his girlfriend. The boys sat in the front, while the girls gathered in the back. Although I never had a particularly close relationship with them, it was nice to have some girl time during the fifteen-minute drive.

Upon our arrival, Charles handed his keys to the valet... perks of having a famous brother. He led the way as we made our entrance into our private booth. Everyone, including Carlos, was already there. As I greeted them, I couldn't help but steal glances at Carlos. He looked good, very good. He was wearing navy slacks and a crisp white shirt rolled to his elbows. Our eyes met briefly, and I quickly looked away to prevent myself from blushing even more. However, every time I glanced back at him, he was still looking at me, a little smile in the corner of his mouth.

"Carlos, you remember my sister, right?", Charles asked.

"I do. Good evening, Y/NN. It's nice to see you again.", he said, extending his hand.

"Likewise.", I replied as I shook his hand. He smirked slightly, and I had to stifle a laugh. Charles would be furious tomorrow.

I slid towards the middle of the booth, and Carlos sat right beside me.

"The night has barely begun, and I'm already having the time of my life. Too bad the fun ends tomorrow. Let's make the most of it tonight.", he whispered in my ear, chuckling.

His voice sent shivers down my spine, and I had to compose myself. When I looked back at everyone in the booth, I noticed Lando looking our way with a shit-eating grin. We would have to be careful; otherwise, our plan wouldn't work out.

"So, Y/N, Charles told me you're a surgeon in L.A. and that you speak Spanish.", Shakira suddenly asked me in Spanish.

"Yes... yes... that's right.", I shyly mumbled.

"What's your specialty?"

"I specialize in Head & Neck Surgery, specifically thyroidectomies and facial trauma."

"So, in other words, you would be the perfect doctor for an F1 team.'', she remarked.

"I never thought about it, but you make a good point. Who knows, maybe one day you'll see me in a red shirt out there...", I replied, chuckling.

"Red?", she questioned.

"I've been a Ferrari fan long before Charles joined the Scuderia.", I chuckled.

"So, what do you guys say we start our karaoke session? Yes, that includes you, Dr. Leclerc.", Charles suddenly shouted, interrupting us.

"Oh no.", I mumbled, covering my face.

"Come on, it will be fun.'', Arthur said.

"But... freaking Shakira is here! How am I going to compete with that?", I exclaimed.

"Relax, we're just here to have some fun.", he reassured me.

Everyone began to get up, and I resigned myself to join them. We headed to the karaoke room and decided on the order. Eventually, we all agreed that Charles would go first. After his performance, we took turns singing individually or in groups. My brothers and I even sang "We Are Family" together. Before we all sang one last song together, I chose to sing "I Have Nothing." I had so many pent-up emotions, and I needed to release them somehow, not caring if it aroused suspicions.

As I sang, my eyes remained fixed on Carlos, as if everything else around me had faded away, just like that ballroom scene in Pride & Prejudice. Once I finished, I stepped down from the stage and quickly suggested that we sing the last song together trying to mask my feelings. After some friendly banter, we settled on the classic "Sarà Perchè Ti Amo" and had a blast singing and dancing. When we finished singing, we returned to our booth to eat and have some drinks. We all engaged in small talk with one another and some couples even made their way to the dance floor.

"Sooooo, what's going on between you two?", Lando suddenly asked, pointing his finger at me and Carlos.

"Nothing.", we both replied simultaneously.

"Uh-huh, sure."

"There really isn't.", I insisted.

"So, if there's nothing between the two of you, you wouldn't mind if I ask Y/N out, would you?", Lando asked, looking at Carlos.

"I, uh, I... no. She's free to make her own choices.", Carlos mumbled. He looks so adorable when he mumbles.

"Oh, come on, man, just ask her for a dance already!", Lando exclaimed.

I blushed intensely and couldn't bring myself to look at Carlos. I heard him take a deep breath.

"Y/N, can I... uh... can I have this dance?", he stuttered.

"I..."

"What will it be, Y/NN? Don't pretend you don't want to. Don't worry, I won't tell Charles you guys are dancing.", Lando chuckled.

"Okay... Carlos, you may have this next dance."

He took my hand and led me to the dance floor and as we arrived, "Bailamos" began playing.

Carlos' POV

Once we found a secluded spot on the dance floor, I gently pulled her closer to me by the waist. She let out a soft gasp of surprise, and I couldn't help but smile at her.

"What will everybody think?", she asked, unsure of where to place her hands.

"Who cares? Let's just enjoy this moment.", I said, guiding her hands to rest around my neck.

"Okay...'', she said as I placed my hands on the curves of her waist again.

We began moving, a bit awkwardly at first, but soon we found our rhythm. Our foreheads touched, my lips almost brushing hers, and I inhaled her intoxicating scent. At that moment, I no longer cared if anyone saw us. She was all I could think about.

Tonight I'm yours

We can make it happen I'm so sure

Now I'm letting go

There is something I think you should know

I won't be leaving your side

We're gonna dance through the night

I'm gonna reach for the stars

Bailamos, let the rhythm take you over

Bailamos

Te quiero amor mío

More songs played, but we stayed on the dance floor, losing track of time. Again, it took me all I had not to kiss her right there and then.

"Carlos," she softly said, "I think it's time we go back before people start wondering what happened to us."

"Okay..."

We returned to our booth, engaging in more conversation. Eventually, we all decided it was time to head home. Tomorrow was a big day, and I needed a good night's sleep. Tomorrow, I would finally tell Y/NN how I felt.
