Maxine returned to school and Jace waited for her and they headed into class where she saw Stiles sitting in class." Miss Ripley, you and Mr Hale can sit in front as I got informed about a notice," The teacher says politely. Maxine nods and they go sit elsewhere just as Scott enters the room, Jace glares at him and covers Maxine from Scott who sits behind Stiles.

"Still not talking to me? Come on it's bad enough that Maxine giving me the cold shoulder and her parents put a restraining order against me," Scott says." Can you at least tell me if your dad is alright?" Scott pleads. "Alright then, what if I told you that I'm trying to figure this thing out and that I've gone to Derek for help?" Scott says."If I was talking to you I'd say that you're an idiot for trusting him," Stiles says.

"Hey leave him out of this, he hasn't done anything to you," Jace says smacking Stiles's head."Ow, and anyways I'm not talking to you and Max I can't blame her for not talking to you, you cheated on her and threw away a three-year relationship for some girl who you don't even know!" Stiles says. After a while, Stiles caved in and turned around to face Scott."What did he say?" Stiles asked.

Maxine went to her locker but heard the conversation between Scott and Stiles who backed away down the hallway to respect the restraining order.

Jace stayed near Maxine not wanting to give Scott the chance to worm his way back in." He wants you to tap into your animal side and get angry?" Stiles questions

"Yeah." Scott replies."Ah alright but correct me if I'm wrong, but every time you do that, you try to kill someone, and that someone's usually me." Stiles points at himself.

"I know. That's what he means when he says he doesn't know if he can teach me. I have to be able to control it." Scott responds."Well, how's he gonna teach you to do that?" Stiles questions."Well, I don't know. I don't think he does either." Scott responds.

Maxine walked away with Jace following her."She's never going to speak to me or forgive me is she?" Scott asks Stiles."I wouldn't," Stiles says."Well, McCall, you broke Maxine further than I've seen her," Jackson says looking at a broken Maxine walking away.

"Max is strong but you break her you break her hard," Danny tells Scott. Danny and Jackson both punched Scott's nose." Now stay away from her before we let Jace at you!" Danny warns him.

"Ow," Scott mutters," That girl has a bad past which you know and you pushed her back into it so do her a favour and stay the fuck away from her McCall," Jackson warns before walking away." You deserved that," Stiles notes." Yeah I know I did," Scott says holding his nose.

Maxine was on her porch roof and she was listening to music as Jace and Derek appeared below her." What are you two up to?" Maxine wonders." Just going to help my cousin with his theory, but I wanted to check on you first," Jace smiles." How are you doing Max?" Derek asked with a soft smile." Better, can I come?" Maxine says with a smile.

"Yeah, sure but stay in the car as I don't want you hurt again," Jace says softly." Deal, help me down then?" Maxine smiles. Jace climbs up to Maxine and helps her down," Hold tight," Jace says with a smile. Jace jumps down with Maxine holding on tightly.

Maxine, Jace and Derek get to the animal clinic. Jace frowns at Derek. "Really you think the vet is the alpha?' Maxine said crossing her arms."Yes so stay here!" Derek says. "Fine," Maxine says backing off with Jace following Derek.

She climbed onto the car roof and sat listening to Jessie J ignoring the world around her. The next minute she sees Scott coming out with Derek and Jace in tow."What did you do now?" Maxine asked with crossed arms.

"What are you doing here?" Scott asked." Jace, what did you do?" Maxine asked ignoring Scott."We may or may not have beaten Deaton unconscious?" Jace says quickly.

"Why doesn't that surprise me?" Maxine says shaking her head."Meet me at the school parking lot with Max in a bit," Scott says walking off.

Maxine, Jace and Derek arrived to see Stiles and Scott waiting in the school parking lot. Max, Jace and Derek exited the car as Stiles and Scott came over.

"Where's my boss?" Scott asks. "He's in the back," Max/ Jace say pointing at the back of the car. Scott and Stiles both look into the back of the car

"Oh, well, he looks comfortable." Stiles sarcastically responds. Scott and Stiles both head towards the school."Wait. Hey. What are you doing?" Derek asks "You said I was linked with the Alpha. I'm gonna see if you're right. "Scott says.

"Max you coming with us?" Stiles questions." Between him and these two," Maxine says pointing between Scott, Jace and  Derek," I'll pick them as I rather be near the honest than a liar right now plus restraining order dopey," Maxine shrugs.

Scott walked off with Stiles in tow and Maxine, Jace and Derek leaned against the Jeep when suddenly a cat being dragged through a lawnmower sound came blasting through the speaker.

"ARRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOWOOOWOOWOWOWOWOWWOOOOOOO!"

"You've got to be kidding me," Derek says with an annoyed look."What the fuck? Okay, I no longer feel sad, I feel embarrassed dated that," Maxine says. Derek and Jace smile a little," You don't howl like that right?" Maxine questions both Hales." Like fuck we do," Jace shakes his head.

Then another howl came through only this time it was a deeper and louder howl. Jace looked around pulled Maxine behind him and held her protectively.

Stiles and Scott come out two minutes later with a smug look on their faces."I'm gonna kill both of you! "Derek says furiously "What the hell was that? What are you trying to do, attract the entire state to the school?" he asked angrily.

"Sorry, I didn't know it would be that loud. "Scott tells him sheepishly "Yeah, it was loud and it was AWESOME!" Stiles says excitedly "Shut up," Derek says "You shut up," Maxine said hitting his stomach.

"Don't be such a sour wolf!" Stiles mocks Derek. "What'd you do with him?" Scott asks. "What?" Maxine/Jace/ Derek say at the same time. They looked to see the car door open and no Deaton.

"He didn't do anything," Jace said."I didn't do anything..." Derek says getting cut off. They all see the alpha standing behind Derek and throwing him across the parking lot."Derek!!!!!" Jace shouted.

Maxine grabbed Jace and dragged him towards the school. They called the alpha and now they all had to deal with the consequences of their actions.

A/N- I'm aware of a restraining order but for purposes, Maxine and Jace will be involved in night school and Jace will keep Maxine safe and away from the boys!
