Jace was staying at Maxine's place since he couldn't go back home. Maxine was given the day off and she and Jace chose to watch movies throughout the day of his choice since they watched most of the Harry Potter movies and Marvel.

"Jace it's the full moon tonight are you going to be okay?" Maxine asked." I think so but I'll make sure I'm going to go before I do any harm," Jace says softly hugging Maxine.

"Well, I could help you?" Maxine offers."I could hurt you or even kill you why would you help me?" Jace asked." Because you haven't hurt me yet Jace Hale and I know you wouldn't ever hurt me," Maxine says straddling him. Jace looks up at her and his eyes flash yellow," Show me your wolf side, I want to see it," Maxine says softly.

Jace nods and shifts fully," You look beautiful Jace," Maxine whispers lowly as she strokes his cheek and his wolf side fades back to human." You're my anchor, Max, you keep me safe, grounded, and alive," Jace admits softly." And I'm glad I do, and if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be alive right now," Maxine smiles softly.

"I'll always keep you alive. No one is taking you from my mate," Jace says softly kissing Maxine's lips." Mate?" Maxine asked confused." Like friend mate or soulmate mate?" Maxine questions." Soulmate mate," Jace says cautionously." That's why you're so protective of me!" Maxine yells in realization.

Jace nods," I didn't want to rush things or tell you while you were in a relationship with him. I wanted to wait till you had healed from this year before telling you," Jace says softly. Maxine looked at Jace and hugged him.

I'm slowly healing thanks to you if you are willing to. I'd like us to start slow?" Maxine wonders with a soft smile." For you, I'd do anything, my love," Jace says putting his hands on her face and kissing her lips passionately and possessively.

Maxine and Jace snuggled into each other's arms and Jackson texted Maxine saying that Scott had gone out of control for some reason, he'd punched Danny in the face, kissed Lydia and Jackson and he were co-captains, and Stiles was officially first line.

"He needs to be locked up tonight," Jace comments." Ya think?!" Maxine says sarcastically." Hey don't get snippy with me," Jace chuckles." He's Derek's problem anyways. He should be healed up by now," Jace comments.

"Well, we'll leave Derek to deal with Scott but as for you, I'm gonna distract you with movies, TV shows, and my wonderful self to get you through the night," Maxing giggles." All I need is you and I'm calm as anything," Jace says smirking.

"Good because you will never lose me, Jace Hale," Maxine grins happily." I hope not Maxine as you are too precious to me and I'll love you to all eternity," Jace grins." You don't have to say it back, not yet," Jace says softly.

Maxine nuzzles against Jace's neck and Jace starts making content noises as she does. Maxine fell asleep on Jace's chest and he held her close and protectively. He felt the moon approaching and he didn't feel like losing control and fell asleep cuddling with Maxine.
