Maxine has had time to grieve and has been an amazing parental figure to Poppy, Jamie, and even to Mels and Issac. Jace hasn't been around letting Maxine have space as he knows she's too angry.
"Mama Max?" Poppy says shyly." Yes pup, what's wrong?" Maxine says softly." Will you make up with Jace soon?" Poppy asks shyly. Maxine looks at Poppy and Jamie who came to Poppy and Maxine.
"He needs you too," Jamie says shyly."I know, I will speak with Jace soon," Maxine smiles softly at them." He's not a bad man like them, he's good and he didn't want to let go of you," Jamie says quietly." I will talk with him I promise," Maxine nods.
"Issac hasn't come home," Mels says panicking."What?!" Maxine yells." I'm sorry!" Mels says quietly." No, I'm sorry," Maxine says softly grabbing Mels' hands." Let's go to Derek and see if we can find him," Maxine says softly smiling at her.
Maxine carries Poppy as Jamie holds Maxine's hand as they walk to Derek's loft with Mels. Maxine smells Jace, Derek, and Peter," Hi? Can we come in?" Maxine says softly smiling at them." Come in, I take it you know where Isaac might have gone?' Derek says softly.
"Beacon Hills National Bank where they kept us, but I fear the Alpha pack has got a hold of him," Maxine says softly." Jace, can we talk?" Maxine says softly." Sure princess," Jace smiles." Jamie, Poppy stay with Derek," Maxine says softly.
Maxine and Jace leave the loft to talk alone even though they can hear them." I'm sorry Max, I can't lose you and I'll understand if you never want me again," Jace says." I forgive you, I know you were trying to save me, and I'm sorry for taking my misplaced anger out on you," Maxine says softly grabbing his hands.
"We need to grieve as a couple again, but this time look after two kids who see us as parents," Maxine says softly kissing Jace's lips." I never want to lose you, we will grieve for our children once we kill them alphas," Jace smiles kissing Maxine's lips deeply.
"Kali is mine," Maxine says with her eyes glowing orange." Deucalion is mine," Jace growls as his Alpha eyes shine red. Poppy and Jamie made their way to Jace and Maxine," Can I call you Mama and Dad?" Poppy asks shyly. Jace looked at Maxine who was looking at him as she softly nodded.
"Yeah, you can," Maxine said softly smiling at her. Poppy slowly walks to Maxine as Jamie does and hugs both Maxine and Jace." We got you, both of you," Jace says softly smiling at Jamie and Poppy.
Maxine smiled for the first time in four weeks." You need to tell Derek it's Beacon Hills National Bank where they kept us," Maxine tells Jace." Then we will go there when Issac returns as we need the numbers, me, Derek, and Issac will go and get them out," Jace says softly smiling at her.
Maxine picks Poppy up and holds her close as Jamie hugs her torso." We need a safe place for these if things go south, I'm not risking losing them like we did with Natasha and Murphy," Maxine says.
"And I'm not trusting your dad sorry but he's the last person I'd let near them," Maxine says softly smiling at Jace."Maybe Melissa McCall could or Deaton?" Jace suggests." Melissa, she's good with kids so I'd like her to have them," Maxine says softly smiling at Jamie and Poppy.
Maxine heads towards the McCall household with Poppy on her back, Jamie holding her hand as Jace holds the other. Maxine knocks on the door and Melissa comes to the door with Scott trailing behind her.
"Oh Maxine, Jace how can I help?" Melissa says politely." We have two orphaned children who are now under our care," Maxine starts." We would like if something bad goes happen that you would have them for us and look after them for us," Jace asked as Maxine hugged both kids.
"Of course, I can yes," Melissa says softly smiling at Jamie and Poppy." I lost my children, and I said to Jace I want them two with you just you as I trust you," Maxine explains." Oh Max I'm so sorry," Melissa says hugging Maxine.
"Stillborns, full term as well," Maxine says sadly. "What happened?" Scott asks carefully." Bad people took her and us," Jamie says quietly." Babies died and then she had them in her arms for three weeks," Poppy says sadly. Scott's eyes saddened," I'm sorry Max, I truly am," Scott said softly.
"We're gonna kill them, for what they did to us," Jace states." This is our justice, blood must have blood, I warn you not to get in my way or hers," Jace says with his eyes glowing red. Scott nods in understanding," We'll message you when we need you to have them," Maxine says softly smiling at Melissa.
"Okay Maxine, take care you four, and Max this house is open to you as well," Melissa says softly smiling at her." And you Mrs McCall," Maxine nods." Mels should be home by now or helping Derek," Jace says as they head off.
Maxine, Jace, Jamie and Poppy all headed back to the loft ready to face the alpha pack and fight back for what they did to them. Maxine hasn't shifted yet but with the full moon approaching her true form is going to out full force.
