Concrete Utopia. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️ 9.5/10
My review? It has a normal dystopian structure, though but the societal issues was something I enjoyed a lot about it!
I just finished this today and I actually really loved it!!
It talked about human nature, what extreme measures people would do against another human being in extreme situations, how choices of the majority define a small society (in this story, the concrete utopia became a small utopian society in the middle of a very dystopic environment), and what those trying to survive harsh situations push themselves against authority.
It has a very philosophical question that we must not just look at the movie itself but ourselves: Will I do the same thing these people do if I was in that situation? Will I allow outsiders to be in the empty rooms that no one owns? What kind of choices would I have?
The story begs to question the very nature of a human being when we are faced with difficult situations and disasters.
The story wasn't so far away from reality as there are times that there are cities and provinces face dystopia from time to time. Wars, earthquakes, and extreme storms like Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) forces some humans to act by just their instincts and lose some of our morality just to survive.
