Regulus POV:

The anticipation bubbled inside me as I made my way to the Slytherin common room, the venue for tonight's party. I had managed to sneak Y/n in, her hand securely in mine as we navigated through the secret passages that led us to the heart of Slytherin territory. The party was in full swing, the room alive with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses.

Y/n's eyes widened at the sight, taking in the vibrant atmosphere. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as I watched her blend into the crowd, a natural grace and charm in her every movement. We found a corner where we could observe the festivities, and I couldn't shake the feeling that tonight was going to be a turning point.

Y/n's POV:

As I mingled with the Slytherin students, I couldn't help but notice how the atmosphere changed when Regulus was around. It was as if he held a certain power and influence over his peers. He introduced me to some of his friends, who seemed genuinely friendly and welcoming.

However, as the night progressed, I noticed an undercurrent of tension in the room. Whispers and glances were exchanged, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what was happening. I decided to confront Regulus about it.

"Regulus, is everything okay?" I asked, my concern evident in my voice.

He glanced around the room, a furrow forming on his brow. "It's...complicated. Just stay close to me, okay?"

A wave of unease washed over me, but I nodded, trusting him. We continued to mingle, but my curiosity was piqued. What was brewing beneath the surface? My answer would come soon enough.

Regulus POV:

As the night progressed, the tension in the room escalated. It became clear that some of the Slytherin students were at odds, their disagreements bubbling to the surface in heated arguments. I kept Y/n close, trying to shield her from the brewing storm.

But before long, a confrontation escalated into a full-fledged fight. Hexes were being thrown, and chaos ensued. I grabbed Y/n's hand, pulling her away from the commotion and toward a safer spot.

"We need to get out of here," I said urgently, concern for her safety driving my actions.

Y/n's eyes widened in alarm, and she nodded. We made our way toward the exit, but before we could reach it, a blast rocked the room, sending debris flying. I instinctively shielded Y/n, pushing her away from the danger.

Time seemed to slow as I realized I had put myself in harm's way. A sharp pain shot through my arm, and I winced, trying to keep my focus. Y/n's eyes were wide with fear as she reached out for me.

"Regulus!" she cried, panic evident in her voice.

But before I could reassure her, someone familiar appeared at my side. It was Severus Snape, a fellow Slytherin, and he quickly assessed the situation.

"Take Y/n and get out of here," Severus instructed, his voice firm and urgent.

I hesitated, torn between protecting Y/n and dealing with the unfolding chaos. But I knew I had to prioritize her safety. I grabbed her hand and began leading her out, heart racing with worry for both of us.

Y/n's POV:

Fear gripped me as I was pulled away from the chaos, my thoughts consumed by Regulus's safety. I glanced back, witnessing the struggle and strife within the Slytherin common room. My heart ached with worry for Regulus and the others caught in the chaos.

We finally made it out of the common room, and I turned to Severus, my voice filled with desperation. "What's happening in there? Is Regulus okay?"

Severus hesitated, his expression grim. "It's a conflict within the Slytherin house. I'll do my best to help them, but for now, I need to ensure your safety."

My mind raced with concern for Regulus and the others. But I knew I had to trust Severus and prioritize escaping the danger. As we hurried down the corridor, I hoped and prayed that Regulus would come out of this unharmed.
