Regulus POV:

As the chaos unfolded inside the Slytherin common room, my mind was torn between concern for the escalating situation and the overwhelming worry for Y/n's safety. Severus had instructed me to take her and get out, and I knew that was the priority.

Leading Y/n through the dark corridors of Hogwarts, I could feel her fear and uncertainty. Her grip on my hand tightened, seeking reassurance in the midst of the chaos. I knew I had to be strong for her, to provide the comfort she needed.

"Regulus," she said, her voice trembling, "what's happening back there?"

I glanced at her, seeing the worry etched across her face. "A conflict among some Slytherins. It's not safe for us to stay."

She nodded, understanding the urgency of the situation. We continued our hurried escape through the twisting halls, away from the danger that had erupted during what was supposed to be a night of celebration.

Y/n's POV:

As we fled from the tumultuous scene, the concern for Regulus and the severity of the situation weighed heavily on my mind. My heart ached for him, fearing the consequences of the internal strife within his own house.

I couldn't help but notice the pained expression that crossed Regulus's face as we navigated the dimly lit corridors. I reached up, gently touching the facial scar that marked his cheek, a reminder of the battles he had faced, both within the Slytherin house and beyond.

"Regulus," I said softly, tracing the scar with my fingertips, "does it still hurt?"

He gave a faint smile, his eyes meeting mine with a mixture of gratitude and sorrow. "Not physically, but it serves as a constant reminder."

I could feel his pain and the weight of the past that lingered in his eyes. My heart went out to him, wanting to ease his burdens, even if just for a moment.

"You're strong, Regulus," I reassured, my voice gentle. "And I'm here for you."

He nodded, the gratitude in his eyes deepening. "Thank you, Y/n. Your support means more to me than you know."

As we continued down the corridors, the sounds of chaos gradually faded, replaced by a sense of calm and distance. We finally reached a safe place, and Regulus let out a sigh of relief, the tension in his shoulders easing.

Regulus POV:

I watched Y/n as she leaned against the wall, a mix of worry and understanding in her eyes. Despite the chaos and danger we had faced, there was a comforting tranquility in being with her, a sense of solace in the midst of the storm.

"I'm glad you're safe," I said, my voice filled with genuine relief.

She smiled, a reassuring warmth that eased the remaining tension in my chest. "We're both safe now. We'll face whatever comes together."

Her words were a balm to my weary soul, a reminder that I didn't have to face the challenges ahead alone. I reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

"Thank you for being here for me," I whispered, my voice soft and sincere.

She nodded, her gaze meeting mine, filled with a sense of mutual understanding and unwavering support. In that moment, I knew that we were stronger together, ready to face whatever trials lay ahead. And with her by my side, I found the courage to move forward, to confront the darkness that threatened to engulf us both.
