Jemima swallowed hard as soon as the question slipped from her lips. She didn't know Micah but had heard enough stories about him, and she knew for one that if he wanted her head off, he wouldn't hesitate to take it off. She shivered as soon as he started walking towards her, fear gripped her as she started walking backward.
"What are you doing?" she whispered.
"I'm Jeremiah's sister. He won't let you go if something happens to me" Jemima said again hoping to change Micah's mind.
She watched as he grabbed her trolley and turned to her, a blank look on his face "Do you want to get anything else?" he asked and Jemima froze, shock skimming through her face.
"I need toilet papers, new body sprays, and donuts" Jemima replied as as Micah turned to Black who nodded and then walked away. Jemima stared at the man in front of her in a daze.
"You aren't going to cut off my head?" she asked and Micah stared at her like she had grown a horn.
"Just shut up your mouth" Micah replied in a flat tone.
"You need to answer me. I need to talk to my parents and tell my friends goodbye" Jemima continued.
"I need to tell my roommates that I don't hate them and I know that they like me, I need to" Jemima continued rambling on, and suddenly Micah's face was directly in her face, merely inches away from hers. She drew in a breath as she watched his coffee-brown eyes bore lazily into her, his lips were pulled into an irritated line, his arched nose complimented his round face and she wanted to cup his face in between her palms badly.
"What part of shut up don't you understand?" he asked still watching her and Jemima folded her lips, humming words that sounded like I'm not going to say anything. Micah straightened up and rubbed his forehead.
"Pick your body spray," he said and Jemima nodded moving towards the shelf picking out her body spray putting it quietly in the trolley, and standing beside Micah. The latter glanced down at her before acting like he didn't see her.
"Why is he so tall?' Jemima murmured trying to stand on her toes.
"Jemima" Micah called in a way that made her swallow hard.
"Yes, yes, no talking" she replied immediately keeping quiet.
She watched as Black returned with everything she said she needed and placed it inside her trolley. Micah started pushing it towards the counter and Jemima followed behind, Black fell beside her and Jemima knew that he had something to say.
"I'm sorry Jemima" Black whispered and Jemima nodded her head.
"I know you do not like that apology. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. I mean it" he added and Jemima sighed.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jemima asked.
"And no don't say something like you thought I would run away" Jemima added and Black chuckled.
"Yes. That was part of it, I also really liked you yunno" Black replied and Jemima raised an eyebrow at him.
"Wouldn't you have run if I told you?' Black asked and Jemima found herself lost for words. Black was right, she would have done anything to avoid him.
"But the main reason was because it wasn't in my place to tell you. I hoped that Jerry would let you know" Black added and Jemima nodded her head.
She could see the stares and glances either people threw at them. There was a line but everyone rushed to the side upon seeing him and stepped to the side allowing Black to push both trolleys towards the cashier.
