46 'FORTY SIX'

Bimbo walked steadily alongside the walkway and trees. Her life in the past few days couldn't be described in words. It was the worst. She hated ButterFly Fairy, hated the stupid person, whosoever it was. The whole school and even her friends had turned against her with one post. She hadn't cheated on Jeremiah, she hadn't planned to. She didn't kiss Silas until she broke up with him, she only went out with Silas. That was all she did, who would have thought that before she could explain anything, she would have been exposed as a cheat and now everyone was wondering how she left Jeremiah for Silas, she wanted to explain to them, tell them that she didn't know but she fell out of love for Jeremiah.

Jeremaih was sweet and kind and caring and thoughtful and loving until he didn't have any time for her, and she just couldn't explain it. How it happened and now the world was hell for her. She soon spotted the lean figure leaning against the wall in the shadows and her legs epd up.

"Silas" she whispered as soon as she approached him and the latter immediately pulled her into a hug. Bimbo hugged him tightly back. She was close to bursting into tears.

"Are you okay?" he asked and Bimbo shook her head.

"I'm not okay Silas, I'm not okay" she replied as they sat down on the cemented chairs and Silas rubbed her back.

"I'm sorry about everything that has been happening Bimbo, I didn't think things would turn out this way" he spoke in a small voice and Bimbo sighed.

She wasn't the only one who had been having it hard, Silas likewise had the entire female population of CUA as his enemies. They made fun of him, made derogatory comments and posts about him.

"Damn that ButterFly Fairy, she just twisted everything" Bimbo said and Silas frowned.

"Someone really needs to find out who that is very soon, causing more harm than good, that's not even what happened" Silas said and Bimbo shook her head.

"But who would believe me?" she asked, meeting Silas' eyes.

"Have you.." Silas's words got choked in his mouth watching Bimbo staring at him.

"What? What do you want to say?" she asked and Silas took a long breath before speaking, "Have you been able to speak to Jeremiah?"

His question immediately made Bimbo freeze on her spot. Speak to Jeremiah?

She didn't dare to.

She relaxed in the chair swallowing hard as she tore her eyes away from Silas's face, "Speak to Jeremiah?" she questioned and laughed awkwardly, "And say what?"

"Explain to him Bimbo, tell him that you didn't cheat on him and all of this is a lie concocted by ButterFlyFairy, if he understands and helps you clarify then we would be both ridden of these crazy things going on" Silas said and Bimbo frowned.

"Clarify?" she questioned turning to meet his eyes again, "You want Jeremiah to clarify for us?" she asked and realizing that he had said the wrong thing, Silas immediately wore a small smile, "Not at all"

"Maybe speak to Jemimah instead then" he suggested and Bimbo sighed.

"She's mad and angry at me. She wouldn't even let me explain to her what happened, that I and Jeremiah fell out of love and all of that. Nobody understands me, they are just judging and blaming me" Bimbo whispered as tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"What did I do so wrong? What exactly did I do? Fell in love. Is that much of a big deal?" she asked and Silas immediately pulled her into his embrace.

"I'm sorry , Bimbo. I'm so sorry" he comforted her and Bimbo sobbed for how long she had no idea but she soon calmed down and wiped the tears away from her cheeks. She played with the helm of Silas's jacket and sniffed.

"You know you don't need to apologise for anything Silas. None of this is your fault" she responded slowly.

"But I... I.. feel that I took you away from Jeremiah. I can't help but feel guilty for making everyone hate and curse you like you. Even the Titans aren't speaking to you, it's as if you've been thrust into the spotlight and it's just you and I'm the cause of everything" Silas explained, the edge in his voice evident and Bimbo immediately placed her palms on his face making him stare at her, a soft smile spread across her face as they stared at each other.

"You didn't take me from anyone Silas and you don't have to feel guilty for anything. WIth time, everyone would understand. I don't owe anyone any explanation and after a while, they will go back to minding their business and they will leave us alone. It's not your fault or my fault that we fell in love with each other, no one is going to blame you for that so you don't have to feel like you are the cause of everything. Okay?" she said slowly and Silas nodded slowly.

At that moment, the world seemed to come to a standstill and then Silas lowered his head and kissed the girl in front of him. The kiss was slow and salty but he wasn't bothered, she had been crying and he hoped that the kiss would comfort her a bit and take away all the strange feelings in the pit of his stomach.

Bimbo wrapped her hands around his neck, pulling him even closer as they kissed. It wasn't like their first time, this time was different, it was slow and unburdening but the next minute, there was a flashlight shone on them, the both of them separated like a snake had bit them, trying hard to see who it was.

"Is this a joke?" the person questioned before laughing. "You guys absolutely can't be serious," the person continued.

"The whole school is tearing you two apart for cheating and you two still have some time to kiss? You must really be in love" the person continued and Bimbo put on her phone's torchlight and flashed the other person. She immediately felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach as soon as she recognized the latter.

"Niyi, it's not what you think it is" Bimbo quickly spoke and Niyi burst into laughter.

"It's not what I think?" she asked, "Gil, you guys were kissing or do you want to tell me he was checking what your mouth tastes like with your tongue or this is some school project?" she questioned and Bimbo found herself tongue tied.

"Exactly" Niyi finished before bursting into laughter, "Clowns, you two just need a circus, that's all" she added.

"Just don't tell anyone okay" Bimbo said and Niyi paused for a few minutes before bursting into laughter.

"Girl, Tell anyone? Like that's my business. You guys can keep kissing each other, I totally believe you two are in love because I really can't believe that you are the girl that nice boy chose. I can't believe I was jealous of you, damn" Niyi spoke, shaking her head and Bimbo felt her stomach turn over as Niyi looked at her again, shaking her head as she walked away.

"I don't trust her," Bimbo muttered, "She's going to tell someone," she added.

"I'm sorry I kissed you" Silas whispered and Bimbo swallowed.

"You don't need to apologise for that" she replied.

"And don't worry, I'll make sure that Niyi doesn't talk to anyone. I'll go and find her myself" Silas promised and Bimbo nodded her head.

"Thank you"

My laptop charger spoilt and that was why I wasn't able to uplaod for the past two days. I've replaced it now so we can go back to our daily updates and yes. It's a double update today.
