Peter slowly tapped his fingers on the table in front of him. No one except him knew how long he had been waiting; a small frown was pulling his facial muscles together and his brows together. A glance at his wristwatch told him he might have wasted his time after all.
Loud voices rang in the hall and his fingers passed instinctively as a small smile wore it's way to his face and he chuckled, his trip wasn't a waste after all.
His eyes flickered to the entrance to see more than ten different guys walking into the eatery, the other students had shrunken in fear. The guy quickly made space for one of them and Peter watched as the guy sat down.
His face was blank, unable to allow anyone to decipher what he was thinking. He watched one of the guys bend towards his ear and whisper something to him. The seated guy merely waved his hand and resumed scrolling through his phone.
Using his hands as a stand; Peter pushed himself to his feet and walked towards the group. He had barely taken five steps when the guys blocked his path, menacing looks on their faces.
"I think you are lost, go somewhere else" one of them snarled and Peter chuckled.
"Do I look lost?" He asked; slipping his agenda into his pockets, "I want to see Roman," Peter added and the faces of all the guys changed.
The guy scrolling through his phone paused and slowly raised his head to meet Peter's unflinching gaze.
"Let him through" his tenor voice rang in the eatery.
"Boss!" The one who had spoken first called in fright. All he got as a reply was a blank face. Peter chuckled as the guys made way for him. Peter walked through them stopping and sitting in front of the guy who had now dropped his phone and was staring at him with his usual blank face but Peter didn't miss the hint of curiosity hanging at the corners of his eyes.
"You are a first year student" the guy stated and Peter raised his eyebrow in surprise.
"I didn't think that would be your first question" he replied and the guy chuckled, "Tell me what you know about me" he started scrolling up his phone again. His curiosity towards Peter had died like that making Peter burst into laughter.
"Ajayi Oluwatunmise Samuel, fourth year student of Architecture. Otherwise known as Koa, the current leader of the Ravens" Peter replied and Koa nodded his head.
"Do you know how many people call me Roman?" He asked and Peter furrowed his brow, "Not many" he replied and Koa raised his head to meet his eyes smiling, "5, plus you makes it 6" Koa replied and a look of shock flashed through Peter's face.
"Aren't you guys asking how I know?" He asked and Koa chuckled.
"You don't know much, do you?" He asked and Peter swallowed, "I want to join the Ravens" he replied and Koa shrugged.
"Up to you" he replied with a smile.
"Do you know who I am?" Peter asked; the corners of his mouth lifted in a smile. Koa chuckled, shaking his head "I have no idea yet" he replied and Peter laughed.
"Unless I permit it, the only thing you'll find out is my name and you would still be wrong" he replied and Koa nodded his head.
"You overestimate your abilities, if I want to find you, I will find out, unless I'm uninterested then I will not" Koa replied and Peter laughed again rising to his feet.
"See you on initiation day" he said before turning and walking away.
"Koa" one of the guys called and Koa smiled, "You still don't recognize him?" He asked, turning to the guy that called his name.
