44 ' FORTY - FOUR "

Jemimah opened her eyes slowly and it took one look around to see that she was back in her room. The last thing she remembered was she crying in Micah's car.

"Hey, are you alright?" Vickie's voice drifted into her ears and Jemimah tried to sit up on her bed. She held her slightly aching head with her two hands and turned to see both Vickie and Doyin staring at her with concerned eyes.

"How did I get here?" she asked and Doyin chuckled. "Well, Micah brought you back. You apparently slept off in his car," she replied and Jemimah swallowed.

"Has my brother been found?" Jemimah asked and Vickie sighed. "Can you calm down a bit?" she asked and Jemimah forced a small smile on her lips.

"You guys have no idea what Bimbo means to Jeremiah. He liked her for four years and he never told her until he was in SS3 and it was because there was no choice. She is his very life and I can't imagine what he would be thinking and feeling right now," Jemimah explained.

"One time, her long-time crush got together with her best friend back then in secondary school and she found out about it. She ran and hid and my brother ran everyone and even rallied me and my friends to find her. Guess who found her first?" She asked, turning to meet their eyes as a genuine smile spread across her face. "He did. They were meant to be; they were perfect," she continued.

"Do you know how many of us thought they wouldn't last or that something was going to happen to them or anything at all? A lot of us—I too thought the same—and it's been three years since then. I've been the both of them together; I've third wheeled them for half of their relationship and I know that they are in love with each other; what went wrong I have no idea. I can't believe Bimbo cheated because that's not even her style or her kind of person. I am so sure something happened but I can't even find my brother to know what's going on," Jemimah added, shaking her head.

"I didn't know your brother and Bimbo had such a history," Vickie said softly and Doyin nodded. "Me too," she added, frowning.

"Bimbo is such a bitch. How can she know all of this and still go ahead and cheat on Jeremiah?" She asked no one in particular as she folded her arms.

"The comments on ButterFly Fairy's post have skyrocketed. The guy she was kissing is Bamidele Silas, one of CUA's athletic boys for the third year but he isn't even that handsome, very average-looking. Because how do you leave Jeremiah, who is ranked sixth most handsome man in third year and eighteenth most handsome boy in CUA, and go for the boy who is ranked fifty-eight in third year and has no ranking in CUA? The math just doesn't make any sense!" Doyin continued and Jemimah kissed.

"I don't care what he's ranked but when I catch who ButterFly Fairy is, I'm going to deal with her and teach her a lesson. It was not her place to put my brother in the spotlight. God will punish her!" Jemimah hollered.

"Amen!" Vickie hollered after her. "Whoever it is, the person is such a classless bitch who has identity issues," she added and Doyin nodded.

"I agree with you but identity issues? Where did you get that from?" she asked and Vickie turned to her, shrugging. "I mean, what kind of issues does she have besides that?" She doesn't know she is; she's a jealous and a conniving bitch, very classless because why is she poke nosing into everyone's business?" Vickie replied and Jemimah managed a small laugh.

"Bimbo should have done better than allowing such a person to talk about her and embarrass Jeremiah; I'm so mad at her," Doyin added and Vickie rolled her eyes.

"Can you not insult Bimbo anymore? Everyone is angry with her but even Jemimah has not insulted her and that's not the point; the point here is Jeremiah. Try to stay on topic, Doyin. Thank you," Vickie replied.

Paul crossed his legs while scrolling through the post on the phone. The comments made him wince slightly and he shook his head. "How was the initiation?" he asked and Peter shrugged.

"Very ordinary. Very boring, nothing special or out of the box; I thought I was mistaken for a minute," he replied and Paul rolled his eyes. "Is this a joke?" he asked and Peter chuckled. "I guess so" he replied.

"This post has blown up way more than I thought it would," Paul said and Peter turned to him, "The ButterFly Fairy's post?" he asked and Paul nodded.

"It already has over 8,000 comments" He replied, "They dug out the guy's name, his ranks, everything he is and will be in the comment section" he added.

"Considering Jeremiah's popularity, the guy is almost a national enemy" Peter replied and Paul nodded his head, "Do you think King will do something to him?" he asked and the two boys exchanged a short stare.

"We'll see about that" Peter replied after a while, "But I wonder what Bimbo saw in the new guy, he looks pretty average, nothing special" he added and Paul chuckled.

"She should be mortal enemies with King and Titans now right?" Paul asked and Peter nodded slowly, "I mean Jeremiah is the baby of the Titans, King's only school son. They would practically hate her very much right now" He continued and Peter nodded.

Paul smiled as he spoke, "Then, I think now is the best time for us to get some information from her," he announced and Peter's eyes lightened up, "I agree" he replied.

"And also ButterFly Fairy; she's such a nasty fellow; let's see if we can get her on our side," Peter suggested and Paul nodded.

"We need to figure out who she might be as well," he added and Peter agreed.

"This entire school is a joke, huh" Paul commented as he continued scrolling through his phone, "We have less than two weeks to exams and their problem is that their star couple broke up, talk about misplaced priorities," he added and Peter burst into laughter as he brought out his phone.

"I'm going to text Vickie to ask if Jemimah is fine. She cried too much earlier," he said and Paul lowered his phone to stare at his twin brother. Peter had finished sending his text before Peter realized that his twin brother was staring at him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Peter asked, bewildered.

"Nothing; I'm just curious if you are really worried about her," Paul replied and Peter raised an eyebrow.

"Don't overthink it," Peter said and Paul smiled.

"Very smart Peter, you still haven't outgrown this less clever way of avoiding the question," Paul said and laughed.

"Answer me, Peter, are you worried about Jemimah?"

Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to 2025. I hope that this year brings new tidings and  we receive grace to shift grounds and scale new heights. Amen.  And ofc, this is the year that HYT comes to an enddddddd.

Somebody should ask Paul and Peter to pick a side, I don't know what's their problem is at this point, Ally or enemy? Enemy because they are hiding dangerous secrets from my girllll.

Gosh, my heart broke more for Jeremiah at this scene because I remembered that scene back in Bimbo, you can even be like me and go back to read that chapter. Sighs, i'm going through a lot of emotional stress guys.
