Micah stood, the cigarette in between his fingers burning out slowly. He was obviously lost in thought but the guy behind him kept quiet and said nothing, just watching and keeping his thoughts to himself.
Jeremiah and Bimbo.
Like everyone, no one had seen it coming, no one could have predicted it, no one could have thought that something like this would happen and for someone that nothing took by surprise, Micah was quite astounded since the incidence happened, he had been more at a loss than shocked but he had certainly being surprised. He had seen Bimbo and Jeremiah together countess times and he knew that what they had was real and true, had seen Jeremiah talk about Bimbo and he knew like everyone else that he loved her, he had also seen Bimbo talk about Jeremiah and he believed the same so what happened came as a shock to him. Even days after, he was yet to understand or figure out how it happened.
"I can't believe that fool. How can she do this to Jeremiah?" the girl behind him suddenly spoke and Micah's eyes drifted to the cigarette in between his fingers.
"You wanted to cheat and then you chased another cheat. Serves her right, She must be regretting everything now. She's so stupid" she continued.
Black turned to the girl beside him, a wrinkle on his face. For so many reasons, she was starting to piss him off recently and like now, she just wanted to sew her mouth shut but he darted a glance at Micah who still wasn't saying anything and swallowed his anger.
"Bimbo really disappointed-" she didn't get to finish her statement when Micah turned and flicked the cigarette in her face.
"Haa" Queen shirked in shock as she stepped back and the cigarette fell to the floor. She turned to Micah in horror; fear sipping into her veins.
"Are you done?" he asked and Queen lowered her head, not replying. She knew that tone, Micah was angry. But she had only been expressing her annoyance. Everyone was angry, disappointed in Bimbo and they knew Micah was too but no one had dared to talk about Bimbo around him.
"You are not allowed to say ridiculous things about her. It is not your place" Micah added and Queen swallowed.
"My apologies" she responded and Micah turned to Black who immediately dug into his pockets and produced another stick of cigarette passing it to Micah. Micah stared at the cigarette, he didn't light it.
"How's he?" he asked and Black winced, shaking his head.
"Not good" Black replied and Queen raised her head and glanced at Black before coughing softly drawing Micah's attention back to her.
"I forgot to ask, sometime ago, I saw Jemimah coming out of your room. Asides Black, you don't let anyone in your room so I was wondering if-"
Micah's laughter cut her words short. He chuckled and stared at Queen as if he was seeing her for the first time.
"Were you always this nosy? This annoying?" he asked and Queen swallowed.
"Go away" he muttered rubbing his neck and within a second, Queen had scampered away. Miah walked as she hurried out of his sight, a frown on his face and turned to black.
"She has always been like this?" he asked and Black met his eyes and nodded his head.
"All the time" he replied and Micah arched his head, "That sounds new to me" he replied and Black almost scoffed.
"She has always been like this, she's only worse now because you always indulge her" he responded and Micah pointed to himself.
"Me?"
Black raised an eyebrow in reply and Micah laughed again, nodding his head, "Call Choco, tell her to get Jeremiah out of the house" he muttered as he flicked the unlit cigarette away.

Jemimah didn't bother knocking as she pushed the door of Jeremiah's room open. She had been in his room a million times and the rug on the floor warmly hugged her feet as she stepped inside. Jeremiah was in bed, his eyes closed but she knew that he was anything but asleep.
"Jerry" she whispered and Jeremiah slowly opened his eyes.
"Huh?"
"I want ice cream" she stated rather simply and Jeremiah stared at her for a few seconds before sitting up on the bed.
"Order some" he replied and Jemimah shrugged.
"I want to eat the ice cream at the stands and I want fresh air You need fresh air too" she said as she walked towards Jeremiah's wardrobe and pushed the sliding doors to a side.
"Tell me what you want to wear? Your green shirt or blue Parker shirt?" she asked and Jeremiah chuckled getting out of bed.
"No Jemi. I want the maroon shirt"
Less than twenty minutes later, Jemimah wounded down the glass of the car as it whizzed out of the neighborhood allowing the evening air to blow against her face. It had been so long since she felt like this. Jeremiah had remained cooped up in his room since the holidays started and their parents were trying their best to cheer him up, even made all of them sleep in the same room for a week so they could hug the both of them to sleep and it worked for a while but everyone knew that Jeremiah was anything but better.
So when Black had called her, she didn't hesitate before finding a way to drag Jeremiah from his bed. He knew that he couldn't say no to her, he had never said no to her.
They soon arrived at the ice cream stand and Micah and Black were already waiting. Jeremiah darted a glance at Jemimah before chuckling and walking into the open arms of Black. The older boy hugged him tightly, not saying a word and Jeremiah turned to Micah who gave him a smile.
"That looks so weird on you" Jeremiah commented and walked into the stall with Black.
"I was trying to be nice," Micah clarified as soon as Jemimah approached but she just laughed.
"Well he's trying to liven it up" She replied and Micah laughed, his hands easily finding the back of her head.
"You good?" he asked and Jemimah pursed her lips before slowly replying, "I want ice cream" she replied and Micah chuckled.
"Alright" he replied and Jemimah watched as he walked towards the counter and started speaking to the waitress on duty. She was more than obviously ogling him but Micah didn't seem to notice and just continued reeling off their orders, her eyes travelled to his lips and immediately she closed to her eyes.
Keep your eyes off his lips, Jemimah. Keep them off his lips.
