Jemimah held the nylon in her hands tighter. There was no way she could have explained what she was doing if someone had asked her. When she first learned about King, she was so terrified that she made a self-promise to never go near him. She had promised herself to stay clear of him and the Titans.

She had been afraid that her brother was a member of the Titians and believed that he was also a murderer when she learned that he had connections to them. And after he cleared up the air, she even further resolved to stay clear of them but somehow, their paths kept crossing.

And now, she was standing in front of her hostel waiting for him and holding a bag of chocolates as thank you for him. When she had sent him a text message earlier asking him if he had time to come and see her at her hostel, she hadn't thought he would reply at all and even if he did, he would refuse but surprisingly, he had replied and asked her when it would be comfortable for him to come and see her.

A familiar car rolled to a stop in front of Jemimah and she opened the door and got in. Jemimah turned to greet the other boy and immediately sucked in her breadth. She had seen him so many times but each other, she was left dazed by his appearance. How could someone be so..... Ridiculously handsome, sexy effortlessly without doing anything.

Micah was clad in hue colored shirt with his hands folded to his elbow, and the crisp white roundneck he wore underneath hid his upper body. His coffee-brown eyes quickly met her gaze and Jemimah coughed awkwardly trying to hide her embarrassment.

"This is my thank you," Jemimah said handing over the nylon in her hands to Micah. The latter collected the nylon and opened it. He threw his head backward and turned to Jemimah with an amused smile.

"You don't like chocolates?" Jemimah asked. Micah watched the girl in front of him ask him a question, an amused smile still on his lips. He glanced at the same chocolates that caused her trouble and shook his head.

"I don't mind" his deep voice immediately dispelled her thoughts and Jemimah heaved a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for what you did. I'm not going to ask you how you did it and what happened" Jemimah started and King nodded his head.

"That's very smart" Micah replied in a calm way that made Jemimah shiver.

"Did you have classes today?" She asked trying to make small talk. Micah was always calm and quiet around her, It was hard to decipher what he was thinking.

"Yes, but I only attended one of them" Micah replied bringing out the chocolates and unwrapping it. He bit into it and shook his head lightly. He really couldn't understand her love for sweet things, the chocolates were too sweet.

"You are too busy to attend classes?" Jemima probed again and Micah nodded his head.

"Something like that" Micah replied and Jemimah furrowed her brows.

"Aren't you worried it's gonna affect your grades?" she inquired again and Micah turned to face her again; his eyes taking in her concerned face.

"You don't need to worry about my grades" A small smile spread to his lips.

"Oh. I see" Jemimah replied and Micah knew she had understood his reply the other way around. He bit into the chocolate again choosing not to explain himself, it was already more than enough that he had gone to these lengths to try to explain to her. His phone buzzed and Jemimah watched as lean fingers stretched out and pulled the phone out. He picked up the call and placed it on the loudspeaker.

"King" an unfamiliar voice rang out.

"Hmmm," King hummed in reply.

"Rain didn't fall but floods appeared" the latter muttered and Jemimah immediately frowned. What sense was that supposed to make but the next minute a small chuckle escaped Micah's lips. Jemimah glanced at her arm and her eyes widened upon realizing that the air on her arms was standing. The degree in the car had dropped a few degrees. She turned to him in shock and watched as his hand went to his neck adjusting it, she caught a glimpse of a tattoo on his neck but his hand was covering it so she couldn't see it well.
