Vickie was the first to open her eyes when there was a knock on the door, neither Jemima nor Tamiloore had awoken yet. She rubbed her eyes as she slipped out of bed and walked towards the door, unlocking it; she opened the door and her eyes widened for a second.
"Good morning Anna, I think you have the wrong room" Vickie informed her and Annabelle shook her head.
"I don't think so. Isn't this Jemimah's room?" She asked and Vickie raised her eyebrows before nodding her head.
"Could you please wake her up for me?" Anna asked again but before Vickie could reply, Jemimah's voice rang in the room.
"I'm awake. Let me grab my bag" Jemimah replied and Vickie turned to see Jemimah getting out of bed and carrying her tote bag.
"Good morning Vickie" she greeted.
"Good morning Jemimah" Vickie responded, "You already took your bath before you slept?" She asked and Jemimah nodded her head.
"Yes. Good morning Anna" she greeted.
"Good morning Jemimah. Did you sleep late?" She asked.
"Yeah. Sort of" Jemimah replied waving to Vickie, "Have a nice day"
"You too"
"I was already about to tell the driver that we'll wait for some minutes. I didn't think you had taken your bath" Annabelle commented as they walked down the stairs.
"I didn't think I would wake up so late either" Jemimah replied, scrolling through her Whatsapp messages.
It had been two days since she and Micah went on a drive and she couldn't explain the kind of magic that happened during the drive. Or the magic that happened afterwards. She hadn't even dared to tell Adesewa that she had been texting Micah non stop barely days after telling her to stay away from him.
They had been talking the night before and that was why she had slept late in the first place. Micah had been adamant in asking her to take her bath before sleeping in case she woke up late and she was grateful that she had listened to him. Her lips lifted in a small smile seeing his goodluck message. She quickly replied and dropped the phone into her bag.
"Why are you smiling?" Annabelle asked suddenly and Jemimah froze.
"Huh?" She asked.
"You were not smiling per say, you were giggling" Annabelle replied chuckingly.
"Is it a guy?" She pressed on and Jemimah immediately shook her head vigorously.
"A guy?" she asked laughing, "No. It's not a guy at all. Why would I be giggling because of a guy?" She continued and Annabelle chuckled.
"You suck at pretending. It's a guy" she stated with a calm face that made Jemimah wince.
"Okay, it's a guy" she slowly replied and Annabelle nodded her head.
"Well I'm not going to eat you up for it" she joked and they both burst into laughter.
Jemimah had underestimated the scale of the shoot Annabelle was taking her for. Seeing the huge rooms and more than two makeup artists working on her face and everyone running about Annabelle, she could only keep quiet while watching the other girl.
For a scale of a shoot like this; Annabelle had invited her? Just like that? She could say that the very first time they had had a proper conversation was in the car when they were coming.
"Are you Anna's friend?" The makeup artist asked and Jemimah found herself at loss on what to say.
Was she and Annabelle considered friends?
