Colby's POV

I woke up to the sound of my moms voice "Colby c'mon dear or your gonna miss the bus" she said I rolled my eyes "mommmmm I don't take the bus you know this" I complained dragging myself out of bed and stretching. She then opened my curtains "MOMMMM ITS SO BRIGHT" I shouted as I dramatically fell to the floor.
I heard a giggle escape her lips "C'mon dear stop messing about get ready and what if you invite Sam over tonight for dinner?" She suggested leaving the room.
I mean I would love for Sam to come round but he always seems so busy...Eh I'll ask him anyway as if he could ever say no to his best friend. I grabbed my clothes and went to the bathroom to get ready. After I was ready I walked downstairs with my hands in my pockets. "You know they say to never walk with your hands in your pockets down the stairs" my mom said handing me a bowl of cereal.
"Mommmmm that's all fake stufffff I walk down the stairs with my hands in my pockets all the time" I said she just looked at me "You'd be surprised you know?" She said.
After I finished eating I made my way to school. There was absolutely no sight of Sam when I got there but he's not usually one to be here so early he's either late or just on time.
I walked over to the group and said hi to everyone Sam still wasn't here and the bell was about to go. He's usually here by now. "Yo have any of you seen Sam?" I asked everyone said no but they seemed chill about it apart from me and Devyn.
Maybe he just woke up late. I convinced myself.

Sam's POV

"YOU FUCKING CHEATED ON ME HOW THE FUCK CAN I NOT BE MAD?!" Kat screamed at me "I-I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING I HAVEN'T LEFT THE HOUSE" I screamed back but my only response was a slap.
"GET YOU ARSE TO SCHOOL BEFORE I ACTUALLY KILL YOU" she shouted I left immediately. I can't do this anymore I've tried to get out of this relationship it's not working.
The only escape is death and I just don't know what to do. I walked to school with my head down low and walked over to the group.
"SAM" Devyn said running up to me I flinched a little. "Brotherrrr what took you so long?" Jake asked me "I woke up late" I forced a laugh. Everyone else started laughing apart from Colby. Then my hand was grabbed and Colby was dragging me to another room.
"Sam please what's wrong?" He asked with his arms folded looking at me. "No-" I was about to say but got cut off "Don't fucking lie to me we've been over this" he said way more Sternly.
"I don't know what you talking about I'm fine there's nothing wrong" I mumbled looking at my shoes. "You've been their through all my shit like when I was struggling with self harm or I was on the verge of fucking killing myself. You fucking saved me no one else." He said I remember them times.
"Do you know how depressing it is watching you fade away from me...It's scary please just talk to me..." he said that got to me. "Colbs thank you for your concern but I promise I'm fine!" I said smiling he just hugged me.
We walked back to the group and he for some reason made me feel safe and kept me close. "Soooo did you guys you know" Corey said with a grin on his face. "No" Colby said looking at me I looked away "Then why are you keeping him so close?" Elton said smirking.
"Because he don't like loud noises and massive crowds" Colby told them I was really thankful he did I don't want no one worrying about me. We all walked to lesson but I had it with MR.Paul.
Even walking to the class was scary Colby noticed and grabbed my hand he don't know anything at least I don't think so...
He held my hand all the way to class even when we sat down. The teacher smirked at me luckily Colby didn't see because he was on his phone "Sam stay after school I need to talk to you about something" Mr.Paul said.
"Sir he has a funeral to go to he can't" Colby said not even looking up from his phone. "Fine I'll let you off for now Sam" he said I texted Colby a thank you and he just smiled.
After a few classes we all made our way to the canteen. Ever since what Colby said I tried to be more of myself to stop him worrying a bit. "Dear...your not eating again" Devyn said and the whole table looked at me "I promise I'm fine mom" I said everyone laughed at the end bit.
I continued making jokes and laughing with everyone which made me happy to see my friends laughing especially Colby. After lunch we all split ways and the rest of the group also split up.

After School (still Sam's POV)

After waiting for everyone in the cold we all said goodbye but Colby waited with me. Colby threw me a hoodie from his car? "Colbs I don't-" he shushed me "Wear it it's fucking Cold" he stated.
He drove me back home and I didn't know how cold it was gonna be. "Thank you Colby" I said hugging him he wrapped his arm around me "You know where my house is if you ever need anything just knock okay?" Colby said I nodded and got out of the car.
Before I opened the door I waved goodbye to him as he drove off. I silently opened the door and Kat was standing there waiting for me.
"So who's fucking hoodie is that?" She asked "Colby's..." I replied. "SO YOU'RE FUCKING CHEATING NOW?! I bet you fucked him at school YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME WHAT THE FUCK" she shouted. "NO I DIDNT IM NOT LIKE YOU. I KNOW DURING THE DAY YOU BRING HOME DIFFERENT GUYS IM NOT FUCKING STUPID" I shouted.
My only response was being beaten. "FUCKING USELESS PIECE OF SHIT" She shouted walking outside.
I was terrified. I thought of what Colby said and I was so tempted to just go over to his house but Katrina would kill me. I said fuck it and made my way to Colby's as quick as possible.
I knocked on his door and his mom answered "Omg hello Sam how are you? How's your parents?" His mom said welcoming me in. I saw Colby with his feet on the table watching TV in the living room.
"Yeah their good I guess I'm doing well thank you how about you?" I asked smiling she started talking about how she's doing and just then Colby walked in. "Sam? You'd don't tell me we're coming over" he said my heart dropped.
Fuck he's gonna hate me Because I didn't text him then he's gonna stop being friends with me. "Yeah I'm sorry I was just about to leave" I said about to walk out but he grabbed my wrist. "Why don't you stay dear?" His mom said my heart skipped a beat.
"O-okay" I replied "We were just about to have dinner do you want anything?" She asked I was about to say no but Colby anwsered for me "He'll have some mom" he told her.
I looked at Colby and he just smiled. It's fine I can always throw it up after it's no biggie. We all sat down and started eating I felt so awkward eating I haven't properly eaten in about 2-3 weeks.
"So Sam what do your parents do for work? Have they had anymore children?" She asked the more she asked about my parents the more angrier and sadder I grew.
The reason is my dad abused me and my mom then killed her one night but stabbing her because he came home drunk. I watched the whole thing and I think a few months later he committed suicide.
"Sam?!" Colby said shaking me "Huh?" I said stepping out of my trance. "Hunny are you okay?" His mom asked "Yeah I'm sorry I just zoned out um my parents are fine no more Children" I said picking at my food.
As much as I hated food I loved Colby's moms food. "That's good how's life for you got a girlfriend yet?" She said winking "Yeah I do her names Katrina and she's the most loveliest and precious woman I've ever met" I said.
After we finished dinner Colby's mom shot Colby a look. "Dear you go to Colby's room okay?" She said I shrugged and ran to the bathroom. I turned on the tap and leaned over the toilet and pushed my fingers down my throat as I threw everything up.
I felt disgusting about it but it had to be done. I flushed then washed my hands. When I walked out Colby was standing there and forced me to sit on the bed. "You didn't eat every much is there a reason?" He said no taking his eyes off me "I ate with Katrina earlier so I wasn't that hungry" I replied smiling.
"Your lying again Sam." He said looking way more aggressive. "I'm not" I covered my mouth "I-I'm sorry I-I didn't mean to talk b-back" I said Colby put his hand on my shoulder and pulled me into a hug. "Shhhh it's okay Sam do you wanna just go to sleep?" He suggested I just nodded.
I laid on the floor and just stared at the ceiling
