Mattheo leaned against a tree while Fearyn slept on his lap.

He looked at the sun that had risen long ago, shining on Fearyn's white hair.

Mattheo's gaze moved down to his wife as he began to brush her hair away from her forehead.

His rough fingers moved slowly toward her cheek, and he stroked it as gently as he could.

Whenever they sat, stood, or lied peacefully together, he wished it would never end.

Fearyn deserved to be happy and have peace in her life.

That the old wounds finally healed and she could leave everything bad behind.

But unfortunately, it wasn't that simple.

Mattheo's fingers moved down to her covered neck.

He moved the jacket that she had from him a little down, and his fingers moved carefully along her scars.

Her scars began to heal more and more, which calmed him, but they will always be a part of her body.

And even if they would heal, wouldn't it mean that they heal inside too.

While the Lord was deep in his thoughts, woke the witch slowly up.

She sighed and covered her eyes with her hands because she moved herself straight in the sun.

As Mattheo noticed that she was awake he smirked and pulled her close to his chest.

Fearyn smiled at his actions and looked up to press softly her lips to his. The Lord kissed back while his hand moved under his jacket to stroke her back.

Her skin was so soft, even the scars.

She sighed into the kiss because of his touch which made her little goosebumps.

Mattheo laughed a little at her reaction and pulled away while he didn't stop caressing her back.

Fearyn looked deep into his chocolate brown eyes, and her hand moved to his cold cheek.

The snow began to appear more and more, but that didn't mean the cold was gone.

Fearyn wondered how he could stand it.

He wasn't shivering, his lips weren't turning blue. His skin was just slightly cold.

While the two looked at each other, they enjoyed the silence around them. It was very quiet in the forest.

Only a few times the leaves moved because of the wind.

Mattheo lightly leaned his head on her hand as he moved his hand away from her back to place it on her cheek as well.

The white-haired girl felt his thumb moving from her cheek down to her lips. She looked at him straight in the eyes and saw that his were directed at her lips.

His head moved closer and closer to Fearyn.

So close that his lips already brushed against hers.

He moved his head sideways to her jawline and began to kiss her lightly until he reached the bottom of her chin.

He moved his lips upwards, and was about to kiss his wife but.

"Fearyn?! Mattheo?!" they heard Lorenzo shout, which made the witch pull back from her husband.

It seemed that they had been gone so long that the group got worried and started looking for them.

"Lorenzo, what if...what if they were eaten by a bear?!" yelled Theodore at him, shaking his shoulders.
