A cold breeze blew through the air, sending the chill through every open space it could find and cling too. Even with all these buildings and crowded alleyways, the coldness managed to worm its way onto the supple delicate skin of humanity, covering them with icy bumps.

Though it was a welcome sensation for a halfbreed demon who was always warm. Leaning against the stoney wall of the building the rest of the troops were staying in, Arden sighed heavily. The breeze sent rippling sensations across her unusually pale skin. How she missed the feeling of being cold, the shivers that would run down your spine and the visible puffs of icy breath. It was something so simple that was incredibly overlooked, many even loathed the feeling.

But it was so human. And each day Arden Croix longed to feel like a human again. Not a monstrous halfbreed demon whose survival depended on the consumption of human blood.

After speaking with Levi, she stepped outside for a breath of fresh air. So much was happening in such a short amount of time. Ymir turned out to be a Titan shifter, the fifth one they encountered in just a few short months. Reiner and Bertholdt had made a getaway with Eren. Kain was missing for reasons unknown. He was alive, but was 'meddling in things that aren't to be meddled with' according to the greater demon Drystan Daine.

What the hell did that even mean? What could Kain possibly be doing for Drystan to have such a severe reaction?

It was stressful the way everything seemed to piling on top of one another, just another chaotic event before the previous one had finished.

Taking in a deep inhale, Arden held the breath before slowly releasing it. Whatever was going on with her brother, Drystan will have it sorted soon enough. Then she can really go at her brother for acting so recklessly.

There was no point getting herself worked up over things that were out of her control. She needed to learn that she couldn't sway the motions of life like how she wanted, some things were simply set in stone and uncontrollable. And that was okay.

Though convincing herself to truly believe that would require a lot more working on.

Deciding that she had enough time to cool her thoughts, Arden began heading back inside. Erwin and his troops had already left to go after the armoured and colossal Titans. No doubt he would check on Hange and her squad while he was at it. She prayed that everyone was okay.

Having made her way back inside, Arden went to the last room she saw Levi in, feeling instantly relieved when she sensed his presence on the other side of the door.

Pushing down the handle, she entered, seeing Levi sat at a table, one hand rubbing at his injured leg. An action he immediately ceased upon hearing her enter.

It left her frowning as she worried for him. As a demon with supernatural abilities, it was easy to forget how fragile humans were and how susceptible to injury they were. Not that she would ever view Levi as fragile, it was a word that didn't fit his vocabulary. But he was still only human.

"Feel better?" He questioned, knowing that she saw him tending to his injured leg but choosing to brush past the topic. He didn't have to be so flawlessly strong infront of her.

Swallowing softly, Arden closed the door behind her before nodding at him. "Mhm, yeah." She responded quietly to him, walking over and crouching infront of him.
