We snuck in my house and thankfully, dad wasn't home yet. We took Nicholas to the basement and tied him down to the chair.

"If you make so much as a whisper, I swear, today will be your last day." Cora threatened.

"I like this version of her." Airon whispered in my ear.
A small chuckle escaped my lips.

"We'll get you food as long as you answer our questions." Lillian said tying the knot tighter.

"So Nicholas, why is Constantine after you?" She asked.

"For the last time! My name is not Nicholas. I'm Nico! And I don't know who Constantine is." He said in frustration.

"Hey, mind the attitude." I warned.

"What we're you doing in Italy?" I asked.

"Uh I live there! I was born there."

"No. You were born here. You're a shapshifter like us."

"Go on change forms." Cora demanded.

"I can't I'm human. Haven't I made this clear."

"If you don't change on your own, we have other ways." Cora stated.

"Like what?" Nicholas challenged.

"Trust me you don't wanna know." I chimed in.

"We should take a break. I'll get us some refreshments." I told them.

I came back down about twenty minutes later with sandwiches in my hand.

"You want?" I asked Nicholas waving the sandwich in front of him.

He looked at me shooting daggers.

"Okay, more for us... Tell us what you were doing in Italy." I tried again.

"You already know the answer." He replied with snark.

"Do not get on my nerves. Now, WHAT WERE YOU DOING IN ITALY!"

I think I might have popped a nerve when I yelled because I felt dizzy.

"I. Live. In. Italy." He replied in a calm tone.

Lillian pulled me aside in the corner.
"Let me try. You guys can go wait upstairs."

"No. I don't want to leave you alone with that prick."

"Give me a chance. Maybe it'll work." She pressed.

I eventually gave in, and the three of us went to the living room.
