' housemates , welcome to the locked in house ' sugarlips' words flowed out, it's voice like a melody. instantly, all the housemates , including me , burst into cheer.

' but don't get too comfortable, this series is going to be a little different. i've tightened the rules and i'm going to be keeping a close eye on you all. this is NOT a holiday , this is locked in. this year you're going to be split into teams and competing for prize or punishment '

sugarlips articulated its thoughts, its words calming the rising excitement. as the lights shifted to hues of blue and red, a palpable shock spread across our faces.

' footasylum believes that teamwork is essential and housemates that work together will be rewarded. in the red team we have joyce, danny , tennessee , starplayer and watson. '

the folks on the red team erupted in cheers, but it became crystal clear who would now be joining the blue team.

' blue team you have george , shannon , kaci , fu izzy and ash. ' the room fell into a deafening silence, the lingering echo of my name yet to be called.

' what about maeve? ' danny was the first to shatter the quiet, his voice cutting through the tension. his face was etched with a stern look, the kind that comes with a sudden realization.

he had noticed, at last, that i was a wildcard, not tied to any team.

as this dawned on him, i couldn't help but let a smile bloom on my face, a silent victory in the midst of the silent room.

' birdie is too important to forget. she will be switching teams everyday since there is an odd number of housemates , she will start on the blue team today. ' sugarlips responded

and finally, a thunderous cheer erupted, reverberating through the room, as everyone found their place on a team.

it was a moment of unity and excitement, filling the air with a contagious energy.

GUESS WHO?

here's how it works , the teams go head to head in a challenge that tests how well they know eachother. they will be shown a fact about a member of the opposing team they must then guess who they think the fact applies to. the team that gets the most correct , is the winner. let's get into it.

' red team , you're up first. joyce which member of the blue team does this fact apply to. '

' when this person was younger , they used to love shoving things up their nose - in particular peas and stones. ' joyce's voice echoed around the room as she unveiled the facts about the blue team from the screen, uniquely shaped like a smartphone. her words wove a vivid tapestry of the team's capabilities.

' i'm not gonna lie , when i said it shannon did this smirk that was like , i remember those times '
with a twinkle in her eye, joyce shared her keen observation, her words tumbling from her lips in a playful manner.

it caught ash off guard, causing her to burst into a fit of laughter that echoed around the room.

' shannon show us your nostrils ' danny jokingly expressed

' i think it's fu for each one of them ' he added on.

' i think it's george because when u read it out loud, he said that's weird ' tennessee also noticed something from george , leaving the team stuck between george and shannon

' do we all agree on shannon? ' joyce turned to her team seeing if they agreeded , which they all did because they nodded.

joyce lifted shannon's paddle high in the air, a triumphant gesture that signaled the entire room that the red team had identified shannon.
