I am driving the her house which is like 20 minutes away from where I live. I suddenly get a call from Cade. We haven't really talked that much since we left Florida so I wonder what he wants.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask "Nothing. But, I have a question for you." "Yes daring." "What are you doing tomorrow night?"
"Uh I might be working why?"
"Well my parents are throwing a surprise party for Hailey, she's turning 26 and I was wondering if you wanted to come since everyone else is invited." He asks me
"Sure, what time?" "It starts at 7, you don't have to bring anything my parents want to meet you."
"Why? I thought your mom didn't like me because I put your sister in the hospital." I say and laugh remembering the day she cursed me out over the phone.
"She doesn't, but they said they needed to meet you. Hailey told them that y'all were friends now and they wanted to make sure you weren't still crazy." He laughed
"I am still crazy I just don't dislike their daughter now."
"Trust me I know. So just come and please for the love of God don't fight my mom or any of my other family members." He pleads
"I'll be on my best behavior I promise." I say and roll my eyes
" and please dress appropriately, don't have your ass hanging out of your shorts. I love the look but my parents wouldn't."
"I dress how I want." "Please?"
"Fine Cade but you owe me. I'm pulling up at the house now so I'll talk to you later. Bye!" I say and hang up I should show up to that house in a thong and a sports bra
I get out of my car and go to knock on the door. The house is cute.
The door finally opens and I see a dark skin little girl and she is ADORABLE. She must be the 7 year old. She has her hair in two high puffs and she has a cute pink dress on.
"Hi hun is your mommy home?" I ask her sweetly
"Yes ma'am she's in the kitchen. Come with me." she says and grabs my hand
"What's your name?" She asks me
"Nyah and what's your name?"
"I'm Layla but mommy calls me Lala. You can call me Lala too."
"Aww thank you sweetheart." This little girl is too cute
We walk to the kitchen and I see Leona.
