Chapter 14: I Got Mad

I woke up in a dark room, it felt small though I couldn't see.

I tried to get untied, but a voice behind me spoke up,
"Don't even try." The voice was deep,"It won't work, the rope is charmed."

"Who are you?" I asked

"I am no one."

"What do you want from me?"

"You have something I want. Need."

"What?"

"It doesn't matter, I have to kill you anyway. After I get your b-blood." he stuttered at the end. I heard him talking to himself after,"You wretched stuttering thing!"

"WAIT! I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!"

"Shut up! You idiot child!"

"Release me or I'll say it! I'll say what I know!"

"What you know?!"

"Yep!"

I didn't really know anything, but this seemed to be working.

"Why do care if you know anything? I'm still going to kill you!"

Crap.

"What's the spell you used to charm these ropes?" trying to change the subject and maybe trick him

"kombush"

(A/N: this isn't the actual word but I thought writing how you say it might be easier. It is actually κόμπος)

"And does it happen to have a counter spell?"

"Of course you idiot child!"

"What is it?" I said, half way excited that I might actually get out of here.

"Why would I tell you? You're just trying to get out."

Crap. Again.

"Okay, enough time wasted, time to kill-"

There was a bang, light shone into the room and Professor Severus Snape stood there with his wand at ready.

"Ahhhh Severus"

"Leave the child alone." he said coldly

"Why would I do that?" the voice said, I was still unable to make out the face

"Would it not be better to kill them together?"

There was silence.

The ropes around my wrist were freed.

"Leave before I change my mind. Both of you!"

Snape grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him as he ran out. We got out in the dark forbidden room of the third floor.

"What was that? What just happened? Who was he-" I kept asking so many questions, until he cut me off

"That was nothing. He was No one." He replied fast,"Why were you up here?"

"I was just wondering around." I said truthfully

"Do not wonder around anymore." he said rather stern

"Why! Tell me! What just happened in there?"I yelled. my voice echoed through the room, then the knight statue fell and broke into dust.

Snape stood frozen.

"What did you do?" he asked

"I-I-" I got up and ran.

I wasn't supposed to get mad.
Why did I get mad?
Stupid Maddi, stupid.

I ran back to the common room to find it empty, what time was it?

I ran up to the great hall to find everyone eating dinner.
Had I been gone that long?

I took my usual seat next to Draco.

"MADDI! YOURE OKAY THANK MERLIN!" he yelled loud enough for the whole lot to hear

"Yes I'm fine, stop yelling." I said calmly

"What happened to your wrist?" Draco asked

I looked down to see them covered in red rope burns and cuts.

I gasped, I didn't even notice that and now they hurt.

"I- I don't know." I lied

I looked up to see Harry Potter making eye contact with me. His face said 'I can tell you're hurting, what happened?', but his lips were saying, "I saw you."

But I just shook my head and acted like I didn't know what he was talking about.
