34th Shot: Beautiful Science

"With this, at last we'll be able to finish out cutiefication of Kohaku-chan." Gen remarked in more upbeat and relieved tone, knowing they're safe only by the thinnest. Just a single miss of their scheme then they're simply done for good.

One hurdle has passed, more awaits just around the corner as they raced against time and circumstances. Just like they predicted, the journey is full of danger and unpredictability walking side by side as soulmate. The circumstances could turn 180 degrees anytime and that's what currently hit them out of blue. Sometimes, even peace is too much to ask to Fate themselves.

However, Kingdom of Science already had some of its men assembled, they would manage to pull through even with the scarce number on board–the only hope for the rest of their comrades being shackled once again in their stone prison.

"Say what now?" Ginro piped, there's only confusion present on his face. What Gen mentioned wasn't something familiar to him it kind of sounded out of track.

"Cute?" Suika added tilting her head, sharing the same perplex with Ginro.

"Huh? What are you planning to do? And, is 'cutiefication' even a word in the first place...?" [First Name] was the last one to questioned, throwing a quick glance at the mentalist before focusing once again on the dark and bumpy trails they're driving through.

It seemed they missed a great number of details while they stayed at Perseus on standby with the rest of the crew. The recon squad was the only one roaming around the island for information–supposed to be a short and harmless journey. But of course, it's impossible for them to have nice things considering Fate is a fickle being, hence how the whole situation escalated to the point it led them to the utmost disadvantage.

[First Name], Suika, and Ginro would need a thorough lecture about this new and impulsive plan involving beauty–which already sounded strange the first time they heard it. What kind of plan involving beauty as necessity? How them being able to be tangled into the strangest thing more often than not was beyond the archer.

Senku chuckled in amusement at the three additional members who's in dire need of further explanation. Without a doubt, he would fill in the things they require to know for the sake of the plan being successful. He needed all the hands he could get. "It's a pretty long story."

"I'm going to get chosen so I can sneak into the inner palace and take the petrification ray for ourselves!" Kohaku pretty much summed everything up in a single long sentence, and her words were incredibly easy to understand although there's so many things wrong crammed into it. And she sounded way too cheerful for someone who's about to enter to the enemy's base.

"You're what?" [First Name] repeated in tone tethering between shock and downward screeching, adrenaline still high in her bloodstream so her current response wasn't the best and under control. The archer threw another look, and this time of absurdity, head turning to stare at the blonde straight in the eyes with widened eyes. It wasn't a good move even if it's based on reflex, especially being driven by emotional push.

"Huntress, watch the road–!!" Senku shouted in panic when he noticed her eyes were completely off the tracks. The mobile lab swerved off the road suddenly to the left and all of them were catapulted to the side, except for the driver herself. [First Name] quickly turned the wheel so they're back on the original road, and thankfully, still in one piece even though their hearts were in shambles.

"S-Sorry! My mistake!"

She nearly sent them to meet their maker early.
