BANG! Lightning struck a tree as the five tigers ran back towards the jungle. They had been exploring around the border. When a storm rolled in. The tigers ran as fire spread around them.
"My king!" Arkclaw skidded to a hult as fire encircled the king.
"Run! Run Arkclaw! Protect my son, Sparkpaw."
Arkclaw nodded and ran after the group. They stopped and Sparkpaw looked for his father.
"Your father's gone," Arkclaw told his apprentice.
"No! You let him die!" the prince growled.
"Show respect to your mentor, apprentice!" Ashton the grey tiger growled.
The tigers tried to leave. But Ashton attacked Arkclaw and pinned him. The white tigress with them looked horrified.
"Ashton! You're a traitor?" the earth began to shift and break from under the two fighting males.
Arkclaw pushed him out of the way and jumped onto solid ground. The dark sky rumbled and the fire came closer. Arkclaw opened his mouth and sent a tornado of dust and wind towards Ashton. The grey tiger fell on his back and ran away.
The group of tigers managed to get back home. And told the queen what happened. She sent her tigers to find Ashton but they never did.
