Rainfall returned to the temple. Sparkpaw saw her and came up to her.
"Mum, what happened? Are the others gonna help us?" he asked
Rainfall didn't look at him, she growled, "No! We are tigers, we will protect our own kingdom. You should know that, and that black leopard can leave. He is not welcome."
"What?! But mother, he has nowhere else to go. And shouldn't we all work together to save our kingdoms? This could be the end of us." Sparkpaw said.
"Never! The four kingdoms will be here for ever! The Ancients led us here one-hundred years ago. We can not fall, but you know Sparkpaw, tigers, lions, cheetahs, and leopards, don't work together." The queen said and walked away.
Sparkpaw followed her to the sleeping chambers. Rainfall turned around and licked him affectionately.
"There is something I must tell you, a secret that your father and I have kept. Sparkpaw, there was a war between all the kingdoms. And the tigers and leopards have never forgiven the lions and cheetahs for dragging them into it. It was the worst war of all time. Ever since then, the kingdoms never allied again. And there is one more thing, there are three temples. One in our kingdom, one in the lions ,and one in the cheetahs. They were abandoned because whoever entered, would break the veil between our realm and where the Shadow Beasts are trapped."
