Freedom Planet 2 Ch 2

Y/N looks around the outside Milla's laboratory before spotting Mr. Stumpy.

Y/N (Mind): This is Mr. Stumpy Milla loves him so much for some reason. Y/N flicks the stump a few times before walking into the small town nearby. 

They began looking around until they spotted a crane with a color palette of black, and white and red for her feathers. She wears a yellow crown as well as a yellow overtunic with a black Obi sash tied by a red knot. She also wears black shorts with yellow straps on her leggings. She is on a very high balcony.

Y/N began to jump and climb up the balcony soon reaching the cranes position. 

Juniper: Hello pet of hound. House make no noise today? Grateful.

Y/N (Sign language): Pet? Noise? their face very confused.

Juniper: Yes, pet. You sleep in dog bed so logically you are pet of hound.

Y/N, confused by Juniper's statement, uses sign language to express their confusion. They question Juniper's claim of being a pet.

Y/N (Sign language): I am not a pet; I am my own person. I don't understand why you think I am a pet of Milla. Can you please explain? 

Juniper: You sleep in dog bed, you like being petted behind your ears, you eat without utensils, and you can't speak.

Y/N pauses before blushing a very light shade of pink.

Y/N (Sign language): I sleep in a dog bed because it's comfortable, I enjoy physical affection, I eat with my hands because it's efficient, and I communicate in sign language because I'm mute. None of these things define me as a pet. I am my own person with my own abilities and preferences. Y/N then lays down and begins scratching the back of their ear with the side of their boot.

Juniper watches Y/N's response, seeming to contemplate their words. After a moment, she nods and responds in sign language.

Juniper (Sign language): I apologize if I made assumptions. Thank you for sharing your perspective. Let us continue our conversation without categorizing each other.

Y/N (Sign Language): Noises

Juniper: Do not play innocent! Hound tree always make noise. BOOM, CRACK, PIKO!

Y/N began thinking, Yeah Milla has been pretty loud with her experiments lately.   

Y/N signed back to Juniper, acknowledging her observation about Milla's noisy experiments. They shrugged, implying that they weren't sure.

Y/N ran towards the gate of the town, eager to leave and head to the Palace as instructed by Neera. Their mind filled with curiosity and anticipation, wondering what awaits them during their audience with the Magister.

Y/N paused for a second remembering what Juniper had said, are they Milla's pet?  

Y/N shook off the thought of being Milla's pet as they continued on towards the Palace. They firmly believed that they were their own person, not defined by their actions or living arrangements. The notion of being a pet seemed preposterous to them. 

When Y/N left the area, a small map laid on the screen with a small version of Y/N on top of Singing Water Temple.

Neera: Listen here mutt you will travel to Shang Tu Palace and Meet with the Magister immediately. You will act with proper reverence. I will NOT tolerate any flippancy.

Lilac: No worries, Lady Neera

They then travel to Shang Tu.

Y/N arrives in Shelin Park to find robots everywhere.
