I slipped on my black wedges and did myself a once over.

I was wearing a strapless black dress which ends on my mid thigh and fades to the color of white at the tips.

My hair was in to loose curls and I, somehow, managed to put on a decent make up through the help of YouTube, of course.

         My phone beeped.

It was another Snap from Autumn. We have been snap chatting for about two hours now. She kept on asking if she looked good and, for Pete's sake!, she's wearing Rachel Zoe and has the best make up and hair stylist; how can she not look good? Great rather.

I took a photo of my ceiling and typed 'yes for the nth time'

She snapped again telling me to reveal myself. I snapped back with my whole face encasing my phone screen with a bored expression.

I rolled my eyes as it deliver. I grabbed the posh looking purse that Cora, my dad's girlfriend, bought me the other day and shoved my money inside just in time when my phone beeped only to reveal Autumn's face with a maniac smile on with the caption 'I want the whole body babe.'

I groaned as I took a mirror shot and sent it to her and then she called.

Why did I befriend this girl?

"Inggrid!" She cried. "I am freaking out! Ethan's going to be here any second and..." I heard the doorbell on the other line. "Oh my gosh! He's here! Are you sure I look, okay? Talk to me!"

Well, how can I possibly talk when she's eating my chance to.

"Calm down, red head. You look gorgeous. Now, go and make Ethan's jaw drop one hundred feet below the ground."

She let out a shaky breath. "Okay. Thanks, Ingg."

"Yeah, I'll see you in a bit." I said

"Inggrid, look, Ethan's car is quite big and it wouldn't be a bother if we pick you up." She notioned.

"Yeah, so I could ruin your alone time. Not a chance. I'll see you later." Before she could bicker and make Ethan wait more longer I hang up and burst out my door.

"I'm ready! Take me to the party, oh my dashing date!" I exclaimed as I walked down the stairs.

The sound of the TV disappeared and dad appeared at the threshold of the living room.

He smiled ever so cheekily showing the wrinkles at the side of his eyes. I was too busy growing up that I hadn't noticed him getting old.

"There goes my little girl and her last acquaintance party." He wiped a fake tear away with his phone following my every movement. He was filming my entrance. Oh, dad! How can I not love your over the top humor?

"Yeah, so sad." I rolled my eyes and he chuckled.

"I know! So, tell me, is someone finally going to pick you up in this fine evening?" He wiggled his eyebrows up and down.

I crossed my arms over my chest. "Dad, I already asked you to drive me to the party."

"I know, sweetheart." He looked at me with his almost silverish grey eyes that I am ultimately jealous of since I enherited mom's faint blue eyes. "But it's what I've been doing for years. When will there be a plot twist!" Dad cried and on cue the doorbell rang and his face immediately lit up like a Christmas tree.
