Aphrodite's little secret. (A Percy Jackson x reader)

We set off.

"I picked Grover as one person. I was gonna ask uh Luke or maybe A-Annabeth but...I dunno anymore. I-I think I want you to come." He looks over at me.

I shrug.

He stands up. "Okay, pack your stuff. We gotta go ASAP." He tells me.

I push myself up off the ground.

"I'll walk you back." He says.

We walk mostly in silence. He makes a few comments about the situation we're in and sorry for dragging me into this. 'Newbies gotta stick together' is what he followed up with.

When I go back to my cabin I'm still not used to this whole silent thing.

Percy heads back to his cabin after telling me "I'll be back soon. Uh...don't die." And snapping into finger guns.

What the hell am I supposed to bring..? Okay uh...toothbrush and toothpaste would be good. Where will there be water? Eh, he's a child of Poseidon we're bound to have some.

Extra shirt, pants, and hair tie. I lowkey wanna bring my heatless curlers but it's a quest. So...I guess I won't.

Cant stop me from bringing lipgloss and chapstick though!

Are you proud of me mom? I'm bringing makeup on the quest with the kid you need me to fall in love with. Wait uh-if that sounded sassy...it...wasnttt?

I also grab chocolate from my friend Twilight's drawer. She'll forgive me.

Oh shit-I almost forgot my inhaler. I grab that too.

I almost jump out of my skin when Percy walks in with Grover.

"We're leaving. Now." He tells me.

"Hi y/n!" Grover waves innocently at me.

I wave back. He smiles and I do too.

He's cute. Not in the crush way, in the like 'he's so innocent' way.

I swing my backpack over my shoulder.

"I got the one they use for quests. Grover did not pack one." Percy explains.

I shrug, indifferent.

"Hey! I brought the best  snacks." Grover exclaims.

We set off on our quest.
