Aphrodite's little secret. (A Percy Jackson x reader)

I have an asthma attack

When we take off into the woods it's darker than I expected, almost night. 

We've gotten a few hundred feet away when my asthma decides to fuck with me. It hurts, if I can get my inhaler in quickly I'll be fine.

I stop running and begin looking for my inhaler.

Shit, where is it?!

I back myself up into a tree and check the last backpack pocket.

Percy and Grover have stopped and turned around at the this point. 

I'm kind of freaking out. My chest hurts. 

"What's going on?" Percy asks, concerned.

"I-I have no idea." Grover replies and walks over, Percy follows him.

Percy realizes something "Are you having an asthma attack?" 

I shake my head yes and start reaching for my pocket Percy looks down. His hands reach into my jacket pocket. "Found it." 

"Ready?" He presses down on the top, allowing the meditation to release.

"Where'd you learn to use one if those?" A wide eyed Grover asks Percy.

"My mom had-or-has asthma...I've seen her use an inhaler a few times." He says and tosses the inhaler into my hands.

(Guys idk I just feel like Sally would lowkey have asthma it's a silly Sally thinggg 😻😻)

Unlike in books and movies asthma attacks still hurt after. My breathing returns to normal but it's still kinda painful.

"I think we're good here. Just for tonight though." I slide down the tree I was resting on when Grover says that. He plops down next to me and Percy sits across from us.

"Ugh, those enchiladas looked so good." He shakes his head sadly.

"Those cookie thoughhh" Percy throws is head back and arms up.

I laugh and both heads snap at me. "It's so weird to hear sound from you." Percy says.

"Yeah. I mean it's good to know we're funny though!" Grover smiles.

I shrug and look at the ground. 

mom, how long does it take for boys to fall in love with you?

Silence.

I wasn't gonna drink it. I just trusting Percy.

I tell her this and move on.

"Where should we head for tomorrow..?" Grover asks and looks between Percy and I.

We all think.

"Let's just walk until we see some form of civilization." Percy shrugs as he says it.

I nod in approval. "Sounds good." Grover says.

"We should sleep." He adds after this.

"Good with me. I'll watch for possible problems." Percy volunteers. 

Grover and I both lay down while Percy sits and watches.

After a few seconds I hear Grover snore softly.

I wish I could see, but I am restless.

I decide if I can't sleep I might as well do something useful.

I go and sit next to Percy.

"Hey." He nods at me. "Couldn't sleep?" He looks over at me.

I nod yes. "Yeah. I get that." He sighs.

"So...what'd you do to your mom...that made her...you know...I-if you don't mind me asking."

I open my mouth but remember I can't speak. He understands.

"Sorry, stupid question. Guess it'll just be Aphrodites little secret for now."
