Ch.15

Riley couldn't help but feel as though Simon was keeping something from her. He had been so secretive lately. And she didn't know what it was.

She couldn't help but feel like he was cheating on her. It was something she didn't need. She didn't want to risk losing him. Knowing he had made her happy. And she was scared.

She knew if she had lost him, she wouldn't know what to do. And knowing he had cheated on her would hurt her so much.

Simon was the love of her life. And she had to somehow find the courage to ask him if he had been cheating on her. She needed answers before it was too late. And she lost him ultimately.

It was playing on her mind how she had thought she was going to lose him to someone else. And it was killing her to think about.

All she knew was that she needed answers. And one way or another, she was going to get them. No matter what it took.

Morning came and Riley walked into the living room. Simon was on his phone. He quickly hung up when he saw Riley there. "Morning beautiful. You okay?" He asked

Riley nodded. She looked to him. "Who were you on the phone to?"

Simon shook his head and smiled. "No one. Just a friend of mine. Listen, I've got to talk to you about something tonight. So let's go for dinner," he told her.

Riley nodded. She looked to him. "Okay. Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Everything is fine babe. Tonight is gonna change everything. And I can't wait to see you," he said as he kissed her and walked off.

Riley frowned. Knowing how much her head was messed up. Knowing she just needed to find out what was going on with him.

Riley went into work. She saw Aimee with Max and walked over. "You and Simon are friends. What's going on?" She asked as she looked to Max.

Max frowned. "Why would I know?"

"You tell me. You're the ones who are joint heads. So what's going on?" Riley asked again. She sighed. "Is he cheating on me?"

Max shook his head. "Why would he cheat on you? You're the love of his life. And I know nothing."

Aimee looked to Max. She raised her eyebrows. "You're a pathetic liar. You realise that don't you?" She said as she grabbed his tie. "What's going on?"

Max shrugged and winked. "It's a surprise for Riley. And if you're going to get kinky, save it for the bedroom," he said.

Aimee turned to Riley. She smiled. "Listen. If he's cheating on you, I'll kill him with my bare hands."

"Thanks. Doubt it will make me feel better."

All too soon, Riley found herself in a restaurant with Simon. She looked to him and smiled. "What's going on? I mean, there's obviously something. What is it?" She asked.

Simon smiled. "I love you. You know that don't you?" He said as he took her hand. He kissed said hand and stood up. "I need to ask you something."

"Okay?"

Riley's eyes widened as she saw him getting down on one knee. He pulled out a ring and looked to her. "Will you marry me?"
