The music playing in the ballroom, the dance had already started and we went out to dance.. since all of us except Cassandra are commoners..we don't expect people to dance with us at all.. but I do have plans to dance
"Can I have your first dance tonight?" I ask Cassandra while i'm holding her hand
Smiling at me "of course" she replied
She would gently pull me in, she out her hand on my shoulders with her other holding my hand
I did the same,putting my hand on her waist and start to dance, following the rhythm of the music
"I didn't know that you can dance" Cassandra said in surprised
"I don't, I'm just following what your doing" hearing that made her giggle
Meanwhile the others sat in the corner, the prince is looking at Anna..he probably wants to approach her but cannot for some reason..and then the song finished just like that
When we go back to the other, Anna approach me and Cassandra "Umm, we will go back in our rest area, Emellie feels dizzy
"What? Is everything alright Emellie" Cassandra ask
"Yes lady Cassandra hahaha..I'm just overwhelmed and need to take a breather"
She didn't even dance nor talk to strangers
"I'll accompany them" Thomas said "don't worry, as long as I'm around they won't be in danger"
"I'll trust you in that" Cassandra smiled and the others went back to the rest area
"What about you? Don't you need a breather?" I ask Cassandra
"Oh? Maybe we can go out the balcony to get some fresh air then"
The two of us went out to the balcony..the moon and the stars are visible in the night sky, the breeze is cool, and the lights in the castle makes the area cozy
While we are standing in the balcony, I look upon Cassandra... Looking at her dress..and it's color is
"Green huh? Just like what I told you that time"
"Oh? Right, I remember you recommending this color before. And so, I tried it out"
"You look great in it" I smiled as I complimented her
"I'm glad that you like it" her face gets flushed a little with my compliments
After I confessed we had stop being awkward and start acting like how we normally do, I guess getting all our doubts out of the way helped a lot.. not only that, for some reason..I think she's more prettier than usual...even tho nothing really much change on her looks, is this just how it is when your in love? I don't know... I never considered falling in love with anyone in the academy, specially not the villainess of the story..now that u mention that again..how much did the story change? I never read the story of this world back then... No..I think it's for the best...
"Cassandra" someone came out of the balcony, it was Cassandra's father. The duke "there you are, Some of my friends wants to meet you, come with me for a bit- oh, your also here Desmond, maybe you should go with us, I'll introduce you to them as well"
"Excuse me" another one appeared, this time it's the prince "but if I may, I want to talk to Desmond"
Cassandra looks at the prince raising her eyebrow "why? What do you want to tell him?"
"Nothing much..I just want to talk to him"
"I'll be fine" I said to Cassandra while looking at him
She looked at me in the eye for a second before sighing "alright, come father"
Then the prince and I are left in the balcony to talk
"Your highness the prince... What do you want to talk about, let me guess.. it's about Anna"
"That's part of it... But it's also about Cassandra"
Okay..what is he gonna say this time?
"Cassandra... Please take care of her"
"Huh?"
"She's.. a good person, and I didn't see it... Or maybe I just forget about it, and I'm glad that she find you"
"Why are you telling me this?"
"It's so obvious, she likes you right?"
"And? I swear if you say-"
"No, it's not like that..what I'm saying right now is genuine! It's not about Anna..about Anna is a sperate thing, I like her, and I hope that she can forgive me.. I'm not gonna ask you to help me with her..I just, I just want to know if she's doing alright..."
I would sigh... I guess the prince has some decency too, he almost looks pitiful..Anna is doing fine..but clearly she still yearn for the prince, she truly liked him after all..but it's up to her now, she's the one who decide to stay away from him
"Why don't you find that out yourself?" I ask him "I'm sure that you know now that it was her decisions to stay away from you... Who know when she will be willing to talk again..but if you truly like her, can't you wait?"
The prince look down at the floor
"Or at least approach when you think it's the right time" I just said before I start to walk at the entrance back inside...

The party ended without anything bad happening, we are now going back riding the same carriage that we rode here
Anna and Emellie are sleeping, making it Thomas' duty to take care of them as he sat with the two ladies
"What did the prince say?" Ask Cassandra
"Nothing much, he just told me to take care of you"
". . . He did?" Cassandra is a bit surprised..I mean, who wouldn't? I was also surprised
"Yes... I guess he's truly sorry about what happen"
When I said that, Cassandra put her head onto my shoulder "so? Would you take care of me?"
I just can't help myself..I smiled when she suddenly act so cutesy "of course, I would"
"Geez get a room" Thomas said while sitting right across us staring while making sure the other girls aren't going to fall off their seat
"Shut it" me and Cassandra said at the same time
