Continuing his mission, Eijin reluctantly acted his role as part of the waiter crew, guided by the thoughts he had extracted from the demons. He made his way directly to the second floor, where the governor's large office was located. Carrying trays of exquisite and expensive wines, he served the VIP guests, all while discreetly observing his surroundings.

To his surprise, Eijin noticed that the female orc, female werewolf, and tall female demons who had escorted the captives were no longer present. Only the familiar faces of the beautiful female demons remained.

As Mika and Michelle continued to play their roles, pretending to be scared captives, Mika's eyes widened in shock. Among the VIP guests, she recognized a familiar face - none other than Victor, one of the adversaries they had faced during their encounter with the Nocturne Coven and the Lunar Pack in the abandoned warehouse. Anger simmered within her, but she reminded herself of the importance of maintaining their cover and focusing on the mission at hand.

Simultaneously, Eijin also recognized Victor among the VIP guests. Memories of their intense battle against the Nocturne Coven and the Lunar Pack came rushing back to him also, intensifying his determination to uncover the truth behind their captives' situation.

"Excellent, my dear Zephyra," Governor Mateo Jade exclaimed with delight.

Zephyra, wearing an alluring smile, responded, "Did you like them, Sir?"

Zephyra was revealed to be one of the deputies of the demon king.

Governor Mateo Jade's excitement was palpable as he replied, "Yes, the human girl, appearing frail and naive, is absolutely perfect." He turned his attention to Victor, who stood to his left. "So, Victor, what's your type?"

Hearing his name mentioned, Eijin and Mika realized they had uncovered another piece of the mysterious puzzle. "So, his name is Victor, the leader of the Nocturne Coven." Mika tells in her mind.

Eijin carefully assessed everything within his sight, his keen wits dictating the need to be prepared for any situation. Taking the scene, he observed Governor Mateo Jade seated in the middle of the grand sofa. Standing behind the governor was the alluring demon, Zephyra. In Governor Jade's left sat Victor Blackwood, while on his right was an enigmatic and powerful warlock. Two bulky demons stood behind Victor, adding an intimidating presence to the group.

Using the abilities of his symbiote, Geenia, Eijin's eyes discerned the auras surrounding everyone. He noticed a distinct black-purple energy flowing around the Warlock, indicating his formidable power. The warlock's aura gleamed brightly, signifying his exceptional strength and abilities. This revelation heightened Eijin's senses and reinforced the importance of proceeding with caution as he delved deeper into the mysteries surrounding the captives and the governor's intentions.

As Victor stood up and approached Mika, she felt a surge of disgust. However, she maintained her composure, leaning backward to avoid his touch. Victor seemed oblivious to her true identity, as her face had been fully covered by her nano-tech battle suit during their previous encounter in the abandoned warehouse.

"She's so pretty... but your gift has already been served in the room, Governor," Victor said with malice, casting a glance at Governor Jade.

Meanwhile, Eijin continued his act, serving expensive wines, hiding his true identy. Thanks to his Symbiotes ability to add tissues to his skin and shapes them according to the host's will.

Suddenly, the elegant door swung open, revealing a group of scientists-looking supernatural beings entering the room. Governor Jade raised his hand, signaling the bodyguards outside to take all the captives to the dungeon.

Another transaction unfolded as the group of scientists-looking supernatural beings opened a small vault. Among them was a green-skinned goblin wearing a white lab gown.

"Here is the final stage of the enhancing drugs," the goblin announced. "It has been improved, and it no longer has any negative effects. Users will not go insane anymore."

The revelation of the enhanced drugs added another layer of intrigue to the unfolding events, hinting at a larger plot and the potential dangers they posed.

Excellent!" exclaimed Governor Jade.

The scientist goblin simply nodded, accepting the compliment.

"But have you tested it?" asked the governor.

"Yes, governor," answered the goblin in a white lab gown. "...For two weeks now, these lab rats have been taking the drugs, and there have been no behavioral aggressions," he added confidently.

The governor's face smirked as he asked, "Will two weeks be sufficient to observe any negative effects?"

"Well, yes, governor," replied the goblin. "You can even test it right now, if you permit." He then glanced at the two bulky demons standing behind Victor Blackwood.

The governor's brows furrowed as he asked, "What are you suggesting?"

"If you allow it, those gentle demons can test their strength against these lab rats," the goblin politely requested, nodding.

The two bulky demons felt insulted and, without waiting for the governor's permission, attacked the frail demons beside the goblin.

The scene unfolded with the two demons fiercely tackling the frail demons, giving it their all. Their intention was to tear their targets apart, unable to bear the insult. These two bulky demons were the bodyguards sent by the Demon King Azrael to protect Victor Blackwood. While they may not have been the best among the Army of the Demon King, they were still ranked among the Elites and possessed incredible strength due to their demon physiology.

Initially stunned and unsure of how to react, the frail demons relied on his instincts and decided to block the attacks. To everyone's surprise, the frail demons stood their ground, not budging an inch. This left the two bulky demons shocked and filled with embarrassment. In a fit of frustration, one of the bulky demons threw a powerful punch at the frail demons, exerting all his strength. The frail demons staggered momentarily, but once again surprised everyone by fighting back and delivering simultaneous punches to the two bulky demons. Caught off guard and still recovering from their astonishment, the two bulky demons were sent flying, crashing into the bookshelves. Struggling to get back on their feet, they were overwhelmed by embarrassment and the need to regain their dignity, preparing for another attack.

However, the governor quickly signaled for them to stop. Zephyra, with a piercing stare, made it clear that they should obey. Knowing the power of Zephyra, the two bulky demons reluctantly complied, understanding that they had no choice but to obey.

The governor's face twisted into an evil grin, his eyes gleaming with malevolence. "With this, I will be unstoppable," he declared, his laughter echoing in a maniacal tone.

Zephyra and Victor couldn't help but share in the wicked smirks. In their minds, they saw the governor as nothing more than their puppet, a means to an end.

Amidst the sinister atmosphere, the governor turned to Victor and offered, "Would you like some of these enhancing drugs, Victor?"

Victor, maintaining his calm demeanor, politely declined the offer. "The offer is much appreciated, Sir Mateo Jade," he replied, his voice steady. "But I prefer to rely on this gem." He revealed a ring on his middle finger, adorned with the Stone of Ka-linga. "Me, my second-in-command Amelia, and my old friends from the Lunar Pack trust in its power." His gaze then shifted towards the enigmatic Warlock standing beside the governor.

Eijin observed and absorbed all the information, connecting the dots in his mind. The revelation about the Stone of Ka-linga and the enhancing drugs shed light on the power wielded by Victor, his deputy, and Alpha Gabriel and his Lunar Pack. It became evident that their forces, comprising hordes of vampires and packs of werewolves, benefited from the effects of these substances.

"Now that we have proven the effectiveness of the upgraded drugs, allow me to take my leave, Sir Mateo," Victor calmly stated. "I believe it's time for me to savor the blood of a virgin maiden," he declared with an unsettling tone.

Governor Jade nodded in agreement, his gaze shifting between Zephyra and the Scientist. "We need to mass produce these drugs" he asserted.

Zephyra responded with an alluring tone, "Well, of course, dear Governor."

The group of scientists bowed, signaling their leave.
