Chapter 15

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, BELLATRIX'S APARTMENT (4 years later)
Bella: Wait, stop. [Bella grabs Emma's hand.]
Emma: What do you want? My question was clear. You want to be my girlfriend or not? You said you wanted to stay as fuckbudies.
"I'm sure i didn't use that word." Said Bella.
"You didn't, but that's what it meant." Said Emma.
"Well, if we were just physical, why are you helping?" Asked Bella. Emma didn't answer and just looked back at screen.
Bella: I didn't--
Emma: I can't do this anymore, okay? I love you and it's hurting me. [Bella sights. Emma starts to leave when Bella sits at piano and starts playing and singing her new song (Tom Odell's) "Another love".]
Bella: I wanna take you somewhere so you know I care

[Emma stops walking and looks at Bella, who is already looking at her.]
Bella: But they won't flower like they did last spring

People look at Bella with sympathy. Bella ignores them and looks at her future self shocked.
"I- i fell in love again? I was in love with you?" Asked Bella. Emma nodded.

Emma: (teary) Is this-- Is this for me?
Bella: Yes. Emma. I- i am not good with feelings. I fell in love two times before and they both betrayed me. They made me feel worthless. They broke my heart.
Everyone looks at her with pity. Bella glares at them.
Bella: What i feel toward you... It scares me. Because i know this is stronger and i don't know what to do. I don't know how to love or trust. This... Us... It terrifies me. Because i'm scared i'll end up hurt again or worse i'll hurt you. I'm scared and i hate it and i hate you, because i love you so goddamn much.
"It's so romantic." Said Layla.
"Wait, does this mean you are my step-mom?" Asked Layla.
"I guess?" Said Emma.
[Emma runs to her and kisses her.]
Emma: You aren't the only one who is scared. I have never loved anyone as much as i love you and it terrifies me. But what matters will we let our fear control us or we'll control it. Love is risk. Are you ready to take it for me?
"I see what i like about you. You are fierce and strong." Said Bella.
"Thank you." Smiled Emma.
"Ughh... Not in front of me." Said Klaus.
Bella: Yes. [They kiss again.]
Mikaelson Mansion (HOPE'S ROOM)
[3 years later, 14 years old Hope and 12 year old Elias and Pandora are sitting on the bed and listening to Bella telling them The Originals history.]
Bella: And that's how we defeated the prophecy. Questions?
Hope: That's a lot to take in.
"You told them about us?!" Said horrified Klaus.
"She needs to know, Nik. I know you want to protect her, but she isn't deaf." Said Bella.
"Bella is right. Hope, Elias and Pandora kept pestering her and all of you to tell them, because they have been hearing lots of rumors." Said Emma.
"But she is too young." Said Davina.
"Better she hears it from us and if i waited longer, she would probably find out from others." Said Bella.
Elias: Wait... So our uncle tried to kill Hope?
"You told him that, too?!" Said angry Freya.
"I think i told them everything, but i probably put it more lightly." Said Bella.
Bella: Yes, but i want you to realise that Finn wasn't in his right mind and i don't want you to remember him like that. I want you to remember him as good brother Freya told you about.  [Hope shrugged.]
Hope: If my family left me daggered for 900 years, i would want revenge, too.
Mikaelsons look away guiltily.
[Bella looked guilty.]
Pandora: So dad, Uncle Elijah and uncle Nik died and came back?
Bella: Yes.
Pandora: Cool.
"She is so cute." Said Layla.
Hope: Aunt Bella has never died. That's cooler. [Bella smirks.]
Bella: I knew you were the smart one.
Klaus, Elijah and Kol roll their eyes.
Elias: I kind of feel bad for Kathrine. She finally got her freedom and then died.
Bella: It's not easy when half of you is locked away by your own mother. Nik was so close to breaking the curse when she ran away. I know it doesn't justify it, but Nik was different back then. (To hope) You changed him, Hope. (Looks at Elias and Pandora) All of you did. You changed us for better and brought peace to our family.
Hope: (scoffed) Peace. You can't even stay in one room without causing apocalypse.
"To be fair, we weren't much better without Hollow." Said Kol.
"True." Chuckled Bella.
[Bella pretends to not hear Hope's comment.]
Bella: I told you this, because it's better you hear our side of the story first and not from strangers.
Pandora: I already knew about daggers and mystic falls revenge. [Hope and Elias nodded.]
Hope: I have already heard and read many things about our family. Thank you for telling us, because it's frustrating when everyone knows more about my family than me.
Elias: And we also didn't know what to think and what was real or not. [Bella smiled at them.]
Bella: If you want to know something just ask me. Better you hear it from me than rumors.
ROUSSEAU'S (2 years later)
Poppy: Okay, guys. If these don't prep your liver for Mardi Gras, then nothing will.
Josh: Eh, my liver was probably dead before I became a vampire, but thanks, Poppy.
"Josh is back?" Asked Davina.
"Why are you surprised? So are you." Said Marcel.
Vincent: Okay. So we should probably get back to Mardi Gras prep.
Josh: Oh, come on, Vincent, we got this. All right? It's gone off without a hitch for, what, seven years now?
Vincent: Josh, that's because we haven't taken it for granted in seven years. Let me remind you: moments of prosperity are invariably followed by times of great pain, unless we remain vigilant.
"Your husband is boring." Said Bella.
Freya: Thank you, Mr. Buzzkill.
Vincent: Okay, Freya, what you got, Mardi Gras prep?
Freya: The witches will be working on their float in the City of the Dead.
Hayley: The werewolves in the Bayou.
Vincent: Josh?
Josh: Yeah?
Vincent: Hmm? This is when you're supposed to say that the vampires are gonna steer clear of both. Yeah. Uh, actually, maybe we should offer them some sort of incentive.
Hayley: Seven years of peace and prosperity not enough?
Josh: Well, it is, but we could always use more daylight rings.
Vincent: Is this a negotiation, Josh? Marcel.
"You can't leave New Orleans, can you?" Said Layla.
"It's my city." Said Marcel.
Josh: You know what? First of all, reading that was very rude, and second...
Vincent: Josh, I don't know how many times I have told you that what goes on in this city is no longer any of Marcel Gerard's business. Okay? We need to make sure that they stay as far away from this city as possible. And Freya, I'll be Mr. Buzzkill if it means reminding everybody here that the magic that those four carry inside of them, if we just put two of them in the same place, it is a ticking bomb.
"He is making big deal over nothing." Said Marcel.
Hayley: Relax. Okay? Marcel's in New York. Bella is in Vegas. Elijah is...
Josh: In Amnesia-land.
Hayley: Right, and Klaus is wherever Klaus is these days. We're fine.
Hayley: Oh. Hope's school. Like I said. Hello?
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA (MIKAELSON BOARDING SCHOOL)
[Hope is sat outside of the office alone as a witch is heard chanting in the background.]
Witch: Faire à voir là ré... [Hope looks up to see a her cousins walking out of room, in her direction.]
Elias: You going somewhere?
Hope: Home. I got suspended for using dark magic. [Elias and Pandora look at her shocked.]
"Hope!" Said Klaus.
"You can't mess with dark amgic!" Said Hayley.
"Calm down. Dark magic isn't that bad. It's just addictive to some, like blood for vampire. Some can control themselves, but some can't stop and lose themselves. Hope is Mikaelson witch and tribrid. I can't imagine how dark spell must be to affect her." Said Kol.
"After hollow i still think it's not good idea for her." Said Freya.
Pandora: You, Hope Mikaelson got suspended?
Hope: Yes. Is it really that unbelievable i used dark magic?
Elias: You using dark magic is little surprising, but not as much as you getting caught.
Pandora: He is right. You never get caught. Never.
"Ooh... We have troublmaker." Smirked Kol.
"I hope your daughter will make you get grey hair." Said Klaus to Kol.
"Like you?" Said Kol.
"I don't get old unlike someone..." Said Klaus. Kol gave him a middle finger. Bella chuckled.
Hope: Well, everyone makes mistakes.
Elias: Hope, i have known you my whole life and i have never seen you make mistake. Not this stupid one.
Pandora: He is right. Your back up plans have back up plans. Why did you get caught?
Everyone looks at Klaus.
"Wonder who she gets it from?" Said Bella sarcastically while looking at Klaus. Klaus smirks.
Hope: Was hungover and didn't think much about it.
"Why was she hungover?!" Said Klaus.
"Calm down. She is teen." Said Bella.
"Calm down? She is little. She shouldn't be drinking!" Said Klaus.
"She is sixteen" said Bella.
"Too little." Said Klaus. Bella rolled her eyes.
Elias&Pandora: Lie!
Hope: Don't you have someone else to annoy, little cousins?
Pandora&Elias: Stop calling us that!
Hope: Then leave!
Elias: You wanted to get suspended. Why? [Hope glares at him.]
Pandora: If you don't tell us, i'll tell aunt Hayley that you are planing something and she will keep close eye on you, so you won't be able to do what you want to.
Hope: (scrowls) I should have never taught you how to blackmail. [Pandora smirks.]
"She taught my daughter blackmailing?" Asked Davina and Kol, but Davina said it with dislike while Kol with excitement. Davina glared at Kol.
"Kol!" Said Davina.
"I mean.. it's bad.. very bad." Said Kol. Others look at him amused.
Pandora: Your mistake.
Hope: I thought you said i don't make mistakes.
Elias: No, i said you don't make stupid mistakes.
Hope: You are annoying little shits! I hope you know that! [Pandora and Elias smirked.]
Pandora: So?
Hope: Not here. (Sights) I needed partners in crime anyway.
"Noo! No, no. No. Kol, tell your niece to stop getting our daughter involved in whatever plan she has!" Said Davina.
"Well, to be fair, our daughter forced her way into Hope's plan." Said Kol.
[Hope glares at Pandora and Elias.]
Hope: I hope you won't be little snitches. [Pandora made zipping her mouth motion.]
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
Aria: Marcel, enough with the suspense.
Marcel: It'll be worth it. Trust me.
Aria: What is this?
Marcel: I call it "Three objects and a question." First object.
Aria: I remember that. And saying it was... hideous.
Marcel: Yes, but your eyes said "buy me," so I went back later and did. Next.
Aria: The house you designed.
Marcel: For you. For us. Now we can build it anywhere you like. [Aria smiles.]
Marcel: The last few years have taught me something. I want to spend my immortality with you. I want us side by side forever. And the moment that I realized that, I went in search of this. Which leads me to my question. Aria Einar, delicate as lace, elegant as a fine home, tough as polished steel... and love of all my lives... will you marry me?
"Wait.. What? I'm getting married?!" Said Marcel.
"No spoilers." Smirked Emma.
"I see why Bella like her." Said Hayley.
Aria: Oh. I- you- wow
Marcel: I figured you'd be a mess by now, so... so I made this part simple. If you say... or if you say... Should be a pretty easy call.. [Ari picks up the letter, entitled "If you say yes."]
Aria: "Knew you weren't just a pretty face. There's one more present docked in Monaco. Seemed like a nice place to honeymoon."
Marcel: So that's yes?
Aria: (big smile) Yes. [Marcel picks her up and kisses her.]
Marcel sits shocked.
MANOSQUE, FRANCE
Elijah: Thank you. Thank you.
Klaus: An old favorite. Try as I might, I can't resist a familiar refrain. I'm a sucker for Weill. You play with such finesse.
"Niklaus!" Said Bella.
"You are putting Hope in danger!" Said Hayley.
"I'm sorry." Said Klaus.
Elijah: Yeah, it keeps me out of trouble.
Klaus: Though Mahler's really more my style.
Elijah: Mahler? Guaranteed to clear any room.
Klaus: Well, then he and I have something in common.
Elijah: And how is that?
Klaus: I have a bit of a temper.
"Bit" Snorted Bella and Kol.
Elijah: Interesting. See, I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at you.
Klaus: Wouldn't you?
"Yeah, when i first met you i thought you were very serious and calm. I was kinda intimidated." Admitted Layla to Klaus.
"Really? I didn't notice." Said Klaus.
"Well, i didn't want you to notice." Said Layla.
Elijah: And most people wouldn't look so disappointed about that observation.
Klaus: Well, truth be told, it's a balm to hear it. I've been feeling a bit one-note recently. All work, you know?
Elijah: Modern conundrum, my friend.
You work just to take care of your family, then you don't have any time to spend with them.
Klaus: My family is, uh... is geographically challenged.
Bella laughed.
Klaus: I've got a daughter I haven't seen in seven years. If we don't caunt phone calls. There were some issues.
"And astral projections." Said Emma.
Elijah: This all sounds like a recipe for regret.
Klaus: And now you sound like my brother. He was my lodestar.
Elijah: You're talking about him in the past tense.
Klaus: He's been... away. I've only just realized how far he's gone.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Bella: Join me?
"Aaaah!" Yelled Mikaelson men in horror and covered their eyes. Bella chuckled.
Emma: With pleasure. [Emma drops towel and joins Bella in shower. Suddenly, blood starts coming instead of water.]
Bella: (Yells) NIKLAAAAAAUS! I'LL KILL YOU FOR RUINING THIS!
"Why do you assume it's me?" Said Klaus defencivly.
"Were not you the one who couldn't stay away from Elijah?!" Said Bella.
"Thank you to your future self for this. I didn't want to see it!" Said Kol. Green Elijah agreed.
MANOSQUE, FRANCE AND LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Klaus: Don't overreact.
Bella: Nik, you have pushed it too far this time. I just showered in blood.
Bella glared at Klaus.
Klaus: Yes, it does appear to be escalating.
Bella: It is bloody biblical, is what it is. You've stayed too long.
Elijah: Do I have any requests?
Bella: How does he look?
Klaus: Happy. He seems happy.
Bella: You spoke to him?
Klaus: I never dared before.
Bella: I miss him, too, Nik. But you have got to leave. Now.
Elijah smiled at his siblings.
"She is right, Niklaus." Said Elijah sadly.
THE ABATTOIR
Hope: Can you just yell at me already? Hostile silence is punishment enough.
Hayley: The whole point of sending you to that school was to keep you safe. Why? Why did you do it?
Hope: That's my business.
Hayley: It could have harmed you. Dark magic is dangerous.
Hope: So am i and so are you. Everything powerful is dangerous, but it doesn't mean it has to be bad.
"She is right." Said Bella.
Hayley: You are not just anybody, Hope. You were possesed by evil spirit who is trying to take over you at any chance given. Do you even understand what it could have done to you? [Hope looks out of window.]
CITY HALL, NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
[Marcel and Aria are in city hall, they are about to get married. Davina, Layla and Kol run in.]
"Enzo stayed to take care of the school." Said Emma.
Marcel: (happily) You came!
Layla: What kind of big sister i would be if i missed your wedding?
"It's not really a wedding." Said Bella.
"They didn't want wedding. Just ceremony." Said Emma.
[Marcel hugs her. Then Davina moves toward him and they hug, too.]
THE ABATTOIR
[Hope stands looking at the blood fountain.]
Freya: Someone found this in the street. [Freya hands Hope Hayley's phone, the screen cracked from where it was dropped.]
Everyone looks worried.
"What happened?" Asked Elijah.
"She is safe." Said Emma. Everyone realised she wouldn't say anything more, so they didn't bother to question.
CITY HALL, NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
Marriage officiant: And i declare you as husband and wife. You may kiss the bride. [Aria and Marcel kiss. Davina, Layla and Kol clap.]
Everyone claps for them and congrulate Marcel.
THE ABATTOI AND FRANCE
[The phone beings to ring. It's Klaus. Hope answers the phone.]
Hope: Dad? [Klaus notices a small fountain's water turn to blood.]
Klaus: I was looking for your mother.
Hope: Yeah, so are we. Um... I don't know where she is. She's missing.
Klaus: I'm on my way.
"No, no, no. That's dangerous!" Said Hayley.
