With so many changes happening in the Agreste household, it was hard to know what to expect next.

And now that Gabriel was spending time with his son, they were finally like a real family. Nathalie did her best not to intrude when they were together. She wanted Adrien to have as much time with his father as possible.

Then one day, Gabriel approached her while she was sitting in the living room. Rather suddenly, he said, "Don't feel like you have to leave when Adrien is with me."

"I don't want to intrude now that you're finally spending time together."

"Nathalie, take my hand." The request surprised her but she did so slowly, and he pulled her to her feet. "You could never intrude. This is our home and you're welcome everywhere."

"I know, Gabriel, but you're his father."

"That shouldn't stop you from joining us."

"Yes, but . . ."

"You don't feel like you're a part of this family?" he finished. "You always have been, Nathalie, and that will never change. But if my words alone don't convince you, I'm sure Adrien's could. Or, maybe-"

He kept hold of her hand, eyes continuing to speak even after his words halted, leaving the rest for her to decide.
