Hi again K. HJ. :)
So, you know you told me your birthday is Noveber 7th yeah? And that date is pretty close now. And I thought, why not give the boy a birthday present?
So that I did.
Come on now, I asked the librarian if she could give it to the guy who had a bright yellow note (as to why today the paper was yellow and not pink), go and ask her :)
I don't know if you'll like it, I hope you do though.

Hongjoong's eyes kept widening more and more the more he read. The guy bought him a present. For his birthday. How on earth did this guy not have any friends?? He was literally the sweetest boy Hongjoong had ever talked to!

He made his way to the front where the librarian stood and flashed her a smile as soon as she looked in his direction.

She smiled back.

"Can I help you young man?"

She was a woman probably in her sixty but she kept that cheerful aurea that could be found often in mothers and grandmothers. She wasn't in her best shape, probably because of the age, but Hongjoong could tell she had probably been a beautiful girl when she was younger.

"Yes ma'am" He showed her the folded piece of paper in his hand "A friend told me he asked you to keep something for me? I don't really know what I'm supposed to say"

"Oh that young gentleman! Yes he left a little box wrapped in red wrapping paper this morning. He was really sweet. Let me go grab that for you"

She disappeared after entring a door with a big 'staff only' written on it and Hongjoong was left alone, now thinking.

he guy was there this morning? Why did that bother him so much? Was it the fact that if he went there earlier that day -like he was planning to do- he might have encountered him?

Fuck Mingi and his gay panicks for Yunho He sighed.

The librarian came back, in her hands the small box she mentioned earlier, and she handed the item to him, the smile never leaving her face.

"Thank you ma'am" Hongjoong smiled again. It was only fair, she was so kind.

"Oh don't worry about it kid, your boyfriend already thanked me for keeping the present"

And just like that, he was flustered beyond belief. Why would she think that was his boyfriend? I mean, yeah, he was kind, he bought him a present, and he asked her to give it to him. Ok maybe that was just a little bit boyfriend behaviour but...

No, he couldn't find any 'but's.

That was indeed boyfriend behaviour.

He shrugged it off and thanked the woman again, leaving the library right after.
