The Awakening

I woke up with a pounding headache and a keen sense of smell. I could smell everyone that had ever been in this room. A room I didn't recognize, its walls were different from the rest, royal purple with those same golden roses that were on Cazador's ceiling of his room. The curtains were slightly ajar and the sun shined in oh so beautifully.

But I didn't burn to a crisp. I panned around the room and seen the hallow, empty man I would of done anything for. Anything but this.

" Darling, you know our little love will written about for centuries to come. Why do you deny it time after time? Why do you deny 𝘮𝘦?"

His eyes looked into my very soul like it was for his taking, like i would turn into a transparent puddle he could see right through and dissolve at his touch.

All my life, i was fearless. But this? The inevitable danced along my mind, night after night, never missing a beat. What was to become of me? A hero of Baldur's Gate, terrified of what he could make me do with just one breath of his exhaling the word darling.

W-why doesn't the sun h-hurt me?" I shuddered wrapping my arms around my stone cold body

" Like you said. You are an adventurer. Why wouldn't I, your betrothed, give you the ability of surviving the sun, when I know its what you yearn most for? The days you'd spend glistening in its presence upon your bedroll. Please dear, I'm n that cruel." He dazzled a smile at me, poking his fang with his tongue

"Congratulations are in order. You manipulated me into thinking the ascension didnt change you. I'm a fool, so blinded by what i thought was love. But you don't love me, If you did you would of gave me a choice. Why even ask in the first place?" My eyes were collecting water, and I was pooling the contents for as long as I could, trying not to appear weak. I was heartbroken, devastated

I was empty.  He walked towards me, back straightened, with perfect posture. He reached out and wiped a tear, making me flinch. His touch used to make me feel safe but all now I felt was violated

I gave you a gift many would die for. Immortality,  and what do you do? You deny me! Hells, if thats not love, I don't know what is! People would beg to be in my presence but all you do is tell me how ungrateful you are" he yelled, spitting in the air between us

"I'll be back with some blood later on. You'll need the strength, you'd be stupid to deny yourself it." He said before exiting out the door and I heard a click

The bastard locked me in here. If I learned anything from saving the world it was to play my part and do it well. I'll make him believe all is well before I make my great escape. Who is he to stop me? I defeated an elder brain, this will be nothing. Or will it?

I paced around the room looking for anything that could be used as a weapon in the future, and all I found was gowns, lingerie, shoes, toiletries, and a trash can. How unfortunate. I'll have to look for something in the main palace once I leave this room.

I seen a shadow of feet under my door and a blood bag was slid under my door.

" Show your face to me, you pussy! What are you scared to look upon my white skin and red eyes again? Are you scared to see your love look at you with so much hate and disgust in her face?" I shouted while running to the door before pounding on it relentlessly

"YOU CANNOT LEAVE ME IN HERE. I'LL STARVE MYSELF YOU BASTARD!" I screamed and the shadows under the door were no more.

I was alone, and trembling, looking at the blood bag not daring to blink incase it disappeared out of existence. After getting all that off my chest, starting tomorrow I'd pretend like all was forgiven
