Is She Kind?

Kaveh's POV

I sighed as I entered our usual place. Cyno, Tighnari, Alhaitham, and I usually hang out and play Tcg there every night to just relax.

'Well, someone's late.' Tighnari commented

'I uh got held up.' I mumbled blushing

'Ah, I have the perfect joke for that! Why was the tomato blushing when it arrived late? Because it saw the salad dressing! Get it b-'

Everyone groaned in annoyance.

'Please keep your "jokes" to yourself. Zara already laughs at them too much,' Tighnari said, rubbing his temples as I took a seat. 'So what held you up and made you get here so late.'

'Well, I was helping someone out, and don't talk to me about being late, "Mr. Stupid Bunny Was Bugging Me."' I snapped back.

Tighnari blushed, clearing his throat.

'N-Nevermind.'

'Well, shall we?' Cyno asked, 'I've been dying to play a round of Tcg, and these two are terrible at it.'

I sighed as we got ready for our round, but I just couldn't help but worry about (Y/n).

(Y/n)'s POV

The next day, I woke up confused. How did I get home? Who got me here? The last thing I remember was a blonde man running towards me. Ok, let me think...do I know any blonde men in Sumeru? No, oh c'mon, no way! He would never, right? I groaned to myself.

'Urgh, you've got to be kidding me. Kaveh was the one who brought me home.' I mumbled to myself

I got out of my bed and saw some tea ingredients, too. Next to them was the recipe for making the remedial tea.

"I found you on the floor last night (Please don't get the wrong idea!) I brought you home last night. Here's the recipe for some remedial tea that Tighnari gave me. It usually helps me with headaches and hangovers. I hope it helps. -Kaveh"

I blushed a bit. He helped me regardless of our bad relationship. Was he really kind? I made the herbal tea, and it actually made my headache better. I should repay the favor. Maybe I should make his favorite food! What did he like when we were kids...' I muttered to myself, 'Ah yes! Anything with cream or cheese in it. He did like fresh fruit, too.'

I searched through my kitchen and found all the ingredients I needed. I'll make him some Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cups. It took me a while to remember and finish the dish. I packed it in a presentable manner before walking to Kaveh's place. I knocked on the door.

'Urghhhh who is it.' I heard Kaveh mutter as he opened the door

Looks like someone was out drinking last night. He looked like he was having a pretty bad hangover. Note to self...if I ever go drinking with him, make sure not to let him drink too much.

'If you're searching for Alhaitham, I don't know where he i-(Y/n)?' he said, looking at me in surprise.

'Ahah...hi.' I said awkwardly

'W-What brings you here?' he asked. 'Your boss isn't here.'

'I'm not here to see Alhaitham. I'm here to see you.'

'You're here to see me?!' he asked, pointing at himself in confusion.

'I well...I wanted to thank you for last night.' I said blushing

'Well, uh...' he said, blushing and rubbing the back of his neck. 'It was common courtesy. I mean, I couldn't just leave you there.'

'I just made you some Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cups to thank you.' I said, holding up the tray full of them and averting my eyes

He looked at them in surprise as his cheeks dusted red.

'O-Oh, thank you. I don't know what to say.' he mumbled.

'I just hope you like them.' I said

'Please come in.' he said. 'It's kinda awkward just you standing out here.'

I chuckled a bit at his awkward attitude. He gestured me inside.

'Wow, you've got yourself a pretty sweet place, Veh Veh.'

'It's not mine. It's Alhaitham's place.'

'I see.' I said, looking around

'Shouldn't you be getting ready for work?' he asked me with an eyebrow raised.

'Kaveh, it's Saturday.' I said chuckling

'Oh, right. Archons, I'm not at my best today.' he mumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose.

'If it makes you feel better, I wasn't at my best yesterday.' I responded, 'Honestly, I've never been at my best.'

He smiled at me.

Kaveh's POV

I never expected to see (Y/n) so early in the morning. She looked much better compared to last night. She was smiling at my door with her anemo vision glowing at the base of the (f/c) feather in her hair. She was glowing more than her vision, honestly. Damn, she's beautiful. Wait! What am I saying?! I am still drunk!?

'Hey Veh Veh, you in there?' she asked with a small smirk

I smiled at (Y/n). She was really different. She could be nice, huh? She even made some pretty nice looking Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cups, too. 

'Ahah, sorry, zoned out a bit.'

'It's alright.' she responded. 'Happens to the best of us.'

We chuckled. Wow, I don't think I've ever had such a nice conversation like this with her before. I stared at the Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cup in my hand.

'So aren't you going to try one of them?' she asked me

I held a cup in my hand. I took one bite, and it immediately made me smile.

'Archons! These are amazing!' I said, smiling at her

'Really!' she said with her eyes sparkling

Archons, she's adorable when she isn't yelling at me. 

'These are so good. Where did you get the recipe!'

'Well, it's a family recipe. I'm glad you liked them.' she said

'Well, I would go for these Blackberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cups any day.' I said

'Hey, I'm just a house away. You can always come and ask for some anytime. Just not when I'm at work.' she said

'Really!?'

'Really.' she responded

(Y/n)'s POV

I couldn't help but smile. Oh, Archons, this reminds me of when we were kids. I'm going to savor every second of it.

'If you ever want to have my specialty, then you can come over too.' he said

'Your specialty? What's this specialty of yours called.'

'The Endeavor'

'The Endeavor? Sounds fancy.'

'It is fancy.'

'I'll have to see that for myself.'
