"Aur rakho janwar ko bedroom mein...!" Badi maa said, indirectly taunting Haseena, who had just taken the first step on the stairs after seeing off the doctor. She stopped in her tracks.
"Isliye mana Kiya tha janwar Ghar mein lekar mat aao par nhi..Ghar bhi le aaye aur sone par suhaga kamare mein Sula rahe hai use, bechare hamare bacche ko kaat liya us kutte ne..!" Dadi said angrily, while Haseena clenched her fists.
"Wahi na maa ji, par kya kahe kisi se...log toh pyaar mein andhe behre sab ho gaye hai..!" Badi maa said tauntingly.
"Bas kariye maa...!" Dev interrupted angrily. "Ek toh Bhai bhabhi aise hi pareshan hai aur aap dono chup nhi ho Rahi hai... Kuch reason hoga warna bina wajah ke Koko bhai par attack nhi karega..!" He said, his frustration evident.
"Wahi na Dev, hume toh lagta hai galti se Bhai ne sote huye uske punchh par pair wair rakh Diya hoga..!" Karishma chimed in.
"Haan, itni badi baat nhi hai ki aap sab itna react kare..!" Anubhav 's uncle said causally.
"Haan Bhai ab toh hamara bolna bhi bura lagega sabko...!" Badi maa stomped her feet in anger and went to her room.
Haseena, already burning with anger, became even more furious upon hearing their conversation. She angrily walked to her room and looked at Koko, who was sitting silently near Anubhav.
"Humne Anu ko dawai de di hai ab tum bhi aaram Karo..!" Maa said as she noticed Haseena at the door.
"Ji maa..!" Haseena nodded, though her smile felt forced. Maa gently caressed her head before leaving, giving her son a forehead kiss, while Baba continued to scrutinize Anubhav.
"Baba thik hai hum..aap bhi rest kariye ab..!" Anubhav reassured with a smile.
"Hum jante hai par (he leaned closer, his voice barely audible) dhyan rakhna ki Haseena jyada gussa na ho..!" Baba whispered.
"Chinta mat kariye hum sambhal lenge...aap jaiye warna use doubt ho jayega...!" Anubhav whispered back, flashing an ear to ear smile as Haseena eyed them suspiciously.
"Thik hai phir meeting ki tension mat Lena hum sambhal lenge..!" Baba assured before glancing at Haseena.
"Hmm.. good night baba..!" Anubhav said with a smile.
"Good night, good night Bahu..!" Baba bid them farewell and exited the room.
Haseena's gaze shifted from Anubhav to Koko.
"Bed se neeche utaro..!" She commanded coldly, her tone cutting.
"Haseena chhodiye...(interrupted by her)" "Suna nhi tumne Koko...!!" Haseena snapped angrily, startling Koko.
"Aauwe..!" Koko sadly climbed down from the bed and retreated to his own without meeting the eyes of Anubhav and Haseena.
"Haseena uski galti nhi hai..!" Anubhav pleaded, but she brushed him off and switched off the light.
"Haseena baat toh suniye...(he turned her towards him) ho gya so ho gya kyu bechare par gussa ho rahi hai..bula lijiye use bhi..!" He urged gently.
"Abhi thodi der pehle Tak aap hi the na Jo nhi chahte the ki woh soye hamare paas phir ab kya hua?" She questioned angrily.
