The Red Death is the primarily antagonist of the first How to Train Your Dragon movie. Residing deep within the Dragon's Nest, it commands the various of local dragons to pillage the surrounding regions, including the island of Berk, to bring back food to satiate its never-ending hunger, with the threat of feasting on the dragon's themselves should they fail to bring back sufficient amount. After utilizing Toothless to approach the nest, Stoick the Vast broke open the Dragon's Nest and unleashed the full fury of the Red Death, where it was eventually killed through the efforts of the newly formed Dragon Riders, led by Hiccup and Toothless.
