Part 5 / Daily life

[I actually made a longer chapter today. If im not updating anything for a while its because ill be at school and i have assessments all week.]

The morning after you had night shift, you could'nt stop thinking about how close you were with him. It was actually a nice day and without much currently going on, it was quiet.

Sure quiet usally meant that tomorrow would be worse but for now, enjoy it.

It's not normal for a infamous pirate crew like this to not be in a fight or getting chased down by marines but it was worth not getting chased for just one calm day.

Though doing chores was still a part of your day. Still have to get up early and get ready for another day of pirating.

The good part about doing said chores was the crew. If someone wasn't busy then they usually went to go help someone else. Like you said earlier, the crew is family.

"Fire boy." You said to catch his attention though he seemed to not notice what you said.

Going beside him you steal his hat, placing it on your own head before just walking past him and giggling to yourself.

"Oi! Give it back." Ace looks up from whatever he was previously doing and over at you. Now that he could see you wearing his hat...he wasn't too mad. But he wanted to play along with this game you've started.

You unsurprisingly kept walking, ignoring what he said. Sure he wanted his hat back but he deserved it getting stolen for ignoring you.

"Hey! Don't just walk away!" He practically yells. You were quite a bit ahead of him so he started to chase after you running.

You could hear his footsteps and you also started to run. Now it's a game of chase.

"You can catch me first." You briefly look back at him before looking im front of you so you can actually see where your going.

Because of how big the ship is if he lost you then he probably wouldn't see his hat for another few hours if not a day. He knew this and he was very quick to run after you. He wasn't about to let you escape  with his hat.

Though the ship helped with your own advantage. You could run and turn random corners or even hide. You just had to hope no one was blocking your way while you ran from Ace.

"Firefly, get back here! And give me my goddamn hat!" He was fast you could give him that but you so were you.

"Awww, can't catch me, fire boy?" You mock while continuing to run. Though running fast like this and for a while would definitely tire you out. "Just give it back!"

Eventually you two somehow made your way out on deck. Other crew members were definitely betting on who would win the game of chase. Even though you would eventually have to give him his hat back, it was still worth taking it right now.

"[Y/N] give it to me." He said while definitely starting to catch up with you. This was a losing battle and yet you still ran away.

"And if I don't, fire boy?" You say in a teasing way while looking over at him. He had stopped running for a moment and you did too.

"Just...give it already." He said holding his hand out, expecting the hat to be either given or thrown to him but you seemed pretty persistent on keeping it.

He rolled his eyes before running after you again but this time, before you got away, he grabbed your arm pulling you towards him.

"Aww, come on. I was having fun!" You stated and he wasn't gonna deny that it was fun chasing after you but he would rather have his hat back off of you right now. "Not how I'd describe it, firefly."

He held your wrist before taking his hat back and putting on his own head.

You pulled your hand out of his grasp before crossing your arms and playfully pouting at him.

"Don't give me that look." He says with one hand on his hip.

You didn't say anything in return and instead turned your back facing him.

"Don't ignore me either!" He rolled his eyes. "You took my hat, I should be the one ignoring you not the other way round." He shakes his head before placing a hand on your shoulder and turning you towards him.

"Don't steal my hat again, okay?"

"No promises."

"..Don't steal it while I'm busy."

"But I can when your not?" You ask a little curiously and tilted your head a bit.

"If you keep stealing it then i'll hide it from you but for now you can steal it when I'm not busy. Or just don't steal it at all." He shrugged before ruffling your hair..again.

"Stop messing up my hair, fire boy."

"Payback, firefly."
