Now that everything had settled and the crew had mainly recovered from their wounds from Marineford people tried to go back to normal.

Sure it was certainly weird and not everything would be the same but most of us had healed.

Even if we hadn't emotionally then we had physically and hopefully mentally soon.

It was admittedly hard to just move on from everything and well you didn't.

Neither did anyone on the crew. It wasn't something you could just forget about. Not when you fought in  a war because your love chased a guy in his division who just so happened to kill a fellow crew member.

That wasn't something you could just forget about at all.

Currently you were just at the railing of the Moby dick looking out at the ocean.

Just sort of thinking about the past events that had happened about a month or two ago now..

A lot had happened since Ace had left but maybe things could be normal again...right?

Well word got out that Strawhat and his crew were well practically disappearing for a while.

Well Luffy was apparently going to train. From what you gathered he blamed himself for what happened at Marineford and the coma his brother went into.

You didn't blame him for wanting to train so him and his crew are apparently splitting up. For two years..

Certainly a long time to separate from your crew. But Apparently Luffy thought it was for the best. At meast thats what you heard from a few different people.

You knew this as Luffy sent a letter to his brother about it or something like that.

And you did spend a little time gathering your own information which wasn't a lot but you were just a little interested in what Strawhat was doing exactly.

"You're not going to get much done if you just stare off into the void you know?"

Your head whips around to look at Ace who was standing a little closer than expected and it honestly almost made you jump a little.

"I know! I was just...thinking." You crossed arms as if you were trying to act defensively when you were smiling like a little kid.

"Yeah and I wanna talk so stop thinking about whatever it was."

I swear Im not allowed to have my own thoughts around this guy...

You turned around and sighed as you leaned your arms against the railing again.

Ace came up behind you and placed his hat on your own head.

Now that you really think about it he had a scar a pretty massive one on his back. Sure Akainus fist didn't go through him but it certainly left a big scar all over his back.

"Once its fully healed you gonna get the tattoo back?" You asked smiling sweetly as you looked at your lover beside you.

He yawned as his arm went around your shoulder.

Smooth move.

"Maybe...might get something different you know? Or maybe I'll leave it."

"I mean its a pretty cool scar isn't it?" Yeah he looked very proud of it as he pulled you closer into his side.

"It's certainly impressive." You add while leaning your head against his shoulder.

He took his hat back while leaning his head on yours. He looked so relaxed while leaning against you like this.

He could definitely get used to this again.

"The next island we get to, we should go on a date. A proper one." Well that was a little unexpected. But he looked serious as you looked uo and met his eyes with your own.

"It would nice wouldn't it? Sure we probably couldn't do anything fancy but that doesn't mewn it wouldn't be fun right?"

"It sounds like a great idea Ace.." you and him never had the time or chance to go on a proper date before so maybe he wanted to make up for that?

"Of course it does! It was my idea after all." He placed a kiss on your forehead just after he spoke.

"And because all of your ideas are just perfect aren't they?" You said sarcastically. Most of them were good ideas but you couldn't say that they were...well thought out.

"Yes they are!!" He took his arm away and nudged you with it.

"How dare you hit me!!" You said so over dramatically it was honestly amusing.

You nudged him back with your arm as he laughed.

"Okay! Okay! Im sorry Firefly." He said softly before suddenly picking you in his arms.

Of course you instinctively wrapped your legs around him in a bit of shock.

That earned a few snickers from the other members of the crew who also happened to be on the deck.

It was a little embarrassing to be entirely honest but you didn't mind it all that much. Sure it would definitely mean you and Ace would be getting teased later on but that's just what happens on the crew.

You could swear there wasn't a single day that went by were you weren't getting teased by someone on this crew but it just made it feel all the better when you were here. Made it feel comfortable with everyone. Made it feel like home.

"Good! You should be." You said while playfully pouting.

He spun you around a few times and of course you both were laughing practically the entire time.

"You don't know how much I love you, Firefly." Before you could even respond he placed a sweet kiss against your lips.

"I love you too, my love." You said as you pulled away from the kiss.

God this was like a perfect universe. You couldn't believe how lucky you are with this boy.

He put you down but you were still in his arms. You wrapped your arms around his neck and you two shared one more kiss before he pressed his forehead against yours.

"You know I would choose you every time..."
