andrea fairmont had never seen her second and youngest child so happy, it seemed her choice for a rider, was as perfect for her as lysseilia believed, he treated her exactly how she wished, in public he held her in high respect while at the same time, making sure all knew she belonged to him, behind closed doors, well that is better left unsaid

fuyuhito shinosuke, had a conundrum however, he was granted an offer from the nation, to officially join their people but he'd have to take a new name, while he didn't necessarily have a problem with this he had to take a more traditional name, at least for his last name so he chose to make shinosuke his given name and he became shinosuke waltfeld, the name shinosuke kept his first initial S reminding him of his origins

in accepting, he was named the earl of lanivara, the ruler of the capital city of avorion, which was in the system the nations capital world sat, with his elevation he was also promoted to colonel, skipping the rank of marshal outright, and he was given command of a station, and more importantly a fleet led by a battleship, he would be giving command of the leonidas to misato, simply to get her off his own ship, speaking of he was given command of the newest battleship built, and as the first commander of the ship, he was granted the privilege of naming the vessel, so the BB-492: yamato, was launched, and had taken command of a fleet of itself, two battlecruisers including the leonidas, and four cruisers, a substantial force

the newly opted colonel decided he wanted to take his new task-force and see if they can't gather intel on their enemy, something that he had learned had not been done by any commander to date, which the colonel thought was monumentally stupid, so he took his task force to the perceived homeworld of the enemy, they really needed to have a name, the nation had codenamed the specific units of the enemy but had not given them an overall name, and had just referred to them as, the enemy

the world they landed on was deserted save for a functioning facility of some form, shinosuke and his team which included lysseilia and all the former EVA pilots entered the facility, cautiously, shinosuke had drawn unit-01 from it's sheath, as they entered to their surprise though the walkers that they found, utterly ignored them, as the ventured into heart of the facility they came to something that shinosuke and the pilots recognized

"a S2 engine..... here" asuka said shocked

"welcome champion" a voice boomed out as the lot of got into defensive positions

"do not be alarmed champion, you will not come to any harm here" the voice spoke out

"who's there" i called out

"i am the one you called lilith" the voice spoke, finally identifying itself, wait lilith, but rei held lilith's soul, as many of us turned to rei who looked just as shocked as the rest of us

"the girl only holds a small piece of my soul, i am one of the originators, a human could not handle my soul, they would go insane and commit what you would call suicide" lilith said

"why do you attack the kingdom of archonis" i asked

"me and my kin are the originators of what you know as the dragons, there were three of us, adam, me, and a third, they killed my sibling, unlike adam, the third was sweet innocent, and had created the dragons as a means to communicate and bond with the humans of this galaxy, they enslaved her creations and tried to enslave us as well, adam chose to leave to build up his forces, while i built these machines before following, my offspring of your world was perfect for our cause, or so we thought, the weapons you created the so-called evangelions were as powerful as adam's creations and he was know to be the strongest of us, but you could do it enmasse, originally i believed we would slowly let you create a powerbase before introducing you to archonis, but then my offspring did something foolish, and it opened my own eyes, by this point i could no longer control my machines, you saw what i had become, a shell of my former self, i was able to limit what my machines did, otherwise they would be assimilating the dragons and gaining strength through them" lilith said

"what happens now" misato asked

"now, you kill me, and in turn you become their master, my champion, doing so will complete your awakening, and the mastery of your tools" lilith said

"how" i asked

"simply take your weapon and stab my core with it, the weapon will in turn devour taking my power" lilith said, i looked towards misato and lilith

"what happens then" i asked

"then this and all facilities will recognize my champion as their master" lilith said, coming to a decision i walked up to the core taking my sword in both hands i thrust my blade into the core

"thank you" lilith said, as their was a bright flash of light, and as i pulled the core away it seemed to heal itself

"i can no longer feel her presence, that core is now solely used as a power source" rei said

"we should test this, before reporting to her grace" i said, lysseilia nodded her agreement to that
