Becky's POV
As I opened the door I found Richard sleeping in the bed. He has bruises all over his body.
What did they do to my brother? I sit beside him.
In a minute of silence he opened his eyes. His now awake.
"Richard!" I said. I can't stop myself from crying.
He immediately wiped off my tears and hugged me.
"Calm down, princess everything will be okay" he said
"What happened? Where have you been? Where's mom and dad?" I asked him
"One question at a time Becky. I will answer all of it" he said then smiled at me
Which makes my worries fade away. When he sees me calming down he starts to tell me everything.
"That day we were going to the mall to buy some stuff for your birthday when another car cornered us. They open the door of the car and just speak some words making us sleep. The next day I woke up in a dark room. It's like a mini prison but then I knew who did it. It was the witches. They took us in exchange for you and thought you would come and save us. But then I have time to escape. I was with dad and mom but when the guard sees us they let me go alone and sacrifice themselves" he said
"Oh no mom and dad.. what should we do Richard? But I think the first thing to do is to escape this mansion..we can make our plan now and .." I was cut on my words when he spoke
"No, we will not escape Becky. For now this is the safest place for you. I'm thankful she looks after you when we are gone." He said which makes me confused
"What are you saying Richard? She's not nice she's a monster!" I said
"Becky calmed yourself. Listen to me. Freen is a good vampire. She's the one helping us to hide from the witches. She had been protecting not only you but the whole family." He said
"So all along you all knew about this? Me being her mate? The chosen one? The prophecy?" I asked him
"Yes princess we all knew and we plan to tell you that on your birthday but then this incident happened. I'm sorry princess please forgive us. I'm sorry we let you experience these things alone but I promise now that I'm here I will always protect you" he said
All information keeping my mind occupied but I'm still thankful that my brother is now here. I won't be alone anymore.
"Thank you Richard. Let's save our parents together" I said then hugged him.
"Hey it's too tight" he said then we both laughed.
Our little catch up conversation was cut when someone knocked.
"Good day miss, the alpha wants the two of you to join her for dinner" she said then leave
I was hesitant but I knew Richard was telling the truth and I should trust him.
"Stop overthinking Becky. I'm telling you she's nice. Common help me stand up" he said
I then helped him and guided him too to go downstairs. He was still recovering. To be honest I'm still thankful to that woman. She helped my brother and treated his wounds.
As we reached the dining table. Her mom was there too. She was smiling but not as before.
"Aunt!" Richard said then hugged her.
"Oh Richard I'm so glad you're fine." She said
"Oh I hope you're doing fine. I saw uncle there. He's fine but they are forcing him to do the experiment" he said
What experiment?
"Oh Richard I think we should not talk about it in front of food. Let's eat first" Mrs chankimha said
So her husband was abducted too? So they're just acting okay so I won't overthink? I'm so dumb I even ignore her.
