Synopsis
The situation became critical, forcing 'Sky' into a corner. He had to agree to exchange himself for his safety, thinking it would just be a temporary relationship for one night. But he didn't realize that 'Pra Pai' would not let it end so easily. Pra Pai persistently pursued him using various skills, such as being flirtatious, shameless, self-absorbed, and deceptive, almost making Sky give in. What I Think
If I could, I'd give this book a perfect 100/100 rating. It's been a while since I've encountered a book so moving, sweeping my emotions on a journey. This was my first time reading a work by P'MAME, despite hearing praises of her talent, and it truly exceeded expectations, leaving me emotionally unsettled for days.
For those familiar with the series "Love in the Air," this is the book I'm talking about.
The plot kicks off with Sky, a freshman in architecture, who ends up in a precarious situation at an illegal racetrack due to helping his friend Rain. This leads to an unexpected encounter with Prapai, a racer, resulting in a one-night stand to ensure his escape. As months roll by, the night fades from Sky's memory, until a mysterious phone call shakes him awake. Initially confused, he soon realizes the caller is Prapai, linked through Rain to another friend, Phayu. While Prapai initially seeks out Sky unable to shake off their night together, his motives evolve as he begins to fall for Sky genuinely. Meanwhile, Sky, hindered by past traumas, is hesitant to accept Prapai's affections, fearing the vulnerability that comes with falling in love. The story weaves through whether Prapai can dismantle the walls Sky has built and delves into Sky's past fears – questioning if they will influence his future.
The characters of Prapai and Sky were brought to life by Fort and Peat, whose performances were nothing short of stellar. A heartfelt thanks to P'MAME for gifting us with this poignant series. I can firmly say this book, along with "Love Storm" and "Love in the Air," remains a top favorite of mine.
